looking back i think this was a bit tight to fold. but on the other hand i just thought what hands am i beating? as after pre he palyed the hand very aggressively. any adice will be grand thank you!!

Yeah, I think you have to call that off. You're obviously behind to 67, but even then you always have outs with two pair against a made straight. You're only (realistically) behind to that and pocket 4s. You are beating all high card combinations and all overpairs. He could even be doing that with A8 or 45, which you're beating as well. 

In short, you're beating more than you're losing to.

I think a fold is fine here unless you have some serious reason to think that he frequently over values his hand
