New Look Sky Poker

Hey guys,

After a couple of tweaks, we have changed the heading nav on the Sky Poker homepage.

1) The 'Find A Player' tab has been moved under the 'My Sky Poker' section. (Decided after previous feedback from the community.)

2) We have added a Latest News & Academy tab to make fresh content more easily accessible.

3) We have added the drop down feature to the tabs, to make it even easier to find your favourite places.

We hope you like the new changes, more to come going forward!

The link to "LATEST NEWS" is excellent, there are 20 or 30  articles in there which werre impossible to find previously. More will be added regularly, too.

Good to see Sky Poker listening to their customers again ................. So with this in mind the previous feedback will also lead to the Casino tab being removed then I take it

They have selective hearing, Chris,

I don't have scooby-doo to do with these things, but I don't see the Casino tab, or the other tabs (Bet, Vegas, Bingo) ever being removed, cross-sell and and easy navigation between all the platforms is an important part of the business. It works both ways, too, drives players to Sky Poker from the other platforms.

Yeah, what Tikay said. 

Basically if you don't want to go to the casino then don't click it, if you sometimes get persuaded and don't want to then just self exclude. You wouldn't ask them to take the Skypoker tab off of the Skybet page, so works both ways.

already have, which is why it's annoying when messages flash up on the chatboxes and you can still see icons on the tables, 

Look I know it won't change as tikay has explained, but if you ask for feedback on an original thread then you gotta expect responses from both sides of the fence

as Mrs Merton used to say "Let's have a heated debate" lol

The changes are looking good.

I still think it would be nice if the drop downs gave some sort of indication they were there without having to mouseover to find them.  Not sure how cleanly that works on a touch input device.

I always think about what someone would do if you were to print the screen and gave them a highlighter and asked them to highlight what they think parts of an interface do.  It's all about the affordance.  But actually it's all about flat design these days I guess.

Just a couple of observations:

1. Do we really need the Casino drop down, as there already is a tab for all the other sites?

2. Does the "Boss? Look Busy" feature falll in line with the Responsible gambling ethos?

I'd get rid of the "Casino" on the blue strip, as there's already a SkyCasino tab further up the page, and the SkyPokerTV one can go too now.

Thanks Barny.

I suspect the 2nd Casino tab will be dynamic, & be changed from time to time as they feel appropriate, as to where, at any given time, they want to drive traffic. 

The Sky Poker TV one will stay, I'd assume. There is, perhaps understandably, some brand confusion here. 861 has gone, but been replaced by SKY POKER TV, which is the official name for the revised format.  

I'd guess that tab will be used to promote Sky Poker TV stuff in due course.
