can i have comments please to help me on my style of play thanks Posted by danwill701
Ouch for sniper. Look at the blind levels. 10/20 level one. Why are you putting your tourney life on the line with top pair average kicker? It's just not worth it. I have no problem with playing j10 at this stage but unless you hit it hard (nut straight, full house) don't get carried away.
Fold preflop... why do you play JTo? Answer: to hit a big hand... is top pair average kicker a big hand? no!! Dont play weak hands to hit top pair and go crazy. Especially fold to the all in. I suggest reading some poker strategy online... just google it and go crazee enjoy x
Limping with 10J, Is fine, calling a 4x raise isn't.
Flop comes J high and you pot bet it, why? If it's to see where you are in the hand stick 100/150 in, if there's a substantial re-raise is should mean strength, therefore an easy fold.
Anyhow, you pot bet and he pushes, showing a lot of strength therefore it shouldnt be a call there mate. If i was you and he re-raised me post flop after a pot bet, im not gonna put him on a bluff and im more than likely behind.
Limping with JT in this position is almost never good. UTG has limp called (fish), C/O has raised (so we know he must have some kind of holding) and small blind called so what are you hoping for on the flop? Two pair, trips, OESD or the Nuts, the latter being very unlikely and to add to this being out of position means you're screwed when you're playing these weak draws.

Get in cheap, hit big or get out at this stage.

Nice turn and river though
Fold preflop.
Limping with J10 is ok but then I would have bet 1/2 pot and folded to the re-raise.
