I have to say I think this is one of the best promos they have had on SKY but just to make it that bit better can we have some indication of heads taken in the lobby like there is in all other Bounty hunter tourneys.

Jonjo, couldn't agree more m8. this really is one of Sky's best ever promos but would be even better with in game

I agree On all fronts but how? It may seem simple to adjust the software to do this but I'm guessing it's more complicated than that! It works fine, great promo, long may they continue!
I suspect the software will only allow them to run it either as a bounty hunter or as a normal tournament. This is slightly different as it does not have a value to the heads. I wonder would it work if you made it 1p + 1p buy in and run it as a bounty hunter, and then award the extra prize money from a list. I realise that this now means there is a buy of 2p, but if this makes things easier it might be worth it.
Congratulations to '989' for bagging a £3,200 Viva Las Vegas package, narrowly pipping Amycakes to the post by a hairs width! Due to there being a tie in the number of bountys, we looked at individual finishes in each of the Mayhem Freerolls to see who placed highest.
Amycakes did a very respectable 16th in the Freeroll on Tuesday 5th May, whereas 989 finished 4th in the Freeroll that took place on Monday 4th May - securing his seat on the plane, enjoy!

I don't know the ins & outs Gary, but it worked pretty well aside from that, & I can't imagine they will change it to your proposed idea. Apart from anything else, if there was a 2p fee to enter, it may cause complaints, on a Promo which, this apart, seems to have been well-received.
Congrats to 989, who must have finished with a right rattle, & hard luck (eased by decent cash prizes) to Amycakes & mould03, who had set the pace all week.
Not a bad prize for the winner - a trip to Vegas from a Freeroll, wowzer.
Looking forward to getting involved with this this week.
Can only echo previous comments regarding the promo, probably up there with the best Sky have done. To miss out on a Vegas package due to finishing position must hurt! But £500 should soften the blow a little bit.

I didn't think they would change it to be honest, I waqs just offering a suggestion to people if they could be bothered that much. I thought 2p to players who are making at least 25 poker points a day was not going to sting them too much. A change in software to cope with what people wanted is rarely simple and can sometimes cause more problems than the problem it was meant to sort out. I suppose people being people if Sky did intoduce it some would complain at winning less than 50p including head prizes and the entry should be more, whilst others would complain about the 2p saying it was not really a freeroll then. Personally I think it is a good promo and one of the best Sky have done. This is despite my having little chance of winning it due to my style of play, true I could try changing for this competiton but that is quite hard to do. Still could be worth it to ruin the notes people have on me:-)

I understand that 989 exercised his (or her, I've no idea) right to decline the winners package for personal reasons, & accept the cash prize for coming 2nd, & so Amycakes got promoted to first.

Hahaha nw thats crazy, why would you trade 1st with its £1000 expenses in for 2nd place which pays £500.

Fair play to them.
They could have kept quiet and pocketed the extra £500, but maybe they thought it was a shame to see such a great package and opportunity go to waste, and decided for the sake of a few hundred quid, it wasn't worth denying someone else this.

Just think Sky should be more flexible with these things. Best situation and fairest would of been 989 does what I said above then gives the rest of the package to Amycakes but they only have £500 expenses.

So Amycakes essentially wins a package but ends up having to use some of their own money to fund the flights? That doesn't seem right.
It's fine as it is, and hats off to 989 for chirping up. Maybe they are under 21, maybe they can't get the time off work, maybe they've been to Vegas before and hated every minute of it and thus didn't wanna go again, who knows? But credit for swapping places with 2nd to give them the chance to use the package to its full potential.
Im trying to register in tonights, but its saying Private Tournament Registration You are not allowed to enter this private tournament This must mean I havent earnd enough poker points. How do I find out how many short I am ? I have half an hour to make some up...but how many? Posted by mumsie
Hi Mumsie,
I have no idea of the answer to that, sorry - can I suggest you try Customer Care?

Click on "my account" and in transaction section you can search your poker activity in the last 24 hours. Work out the points from the rake you have payed although this only works for sng and tournaments not cash.

This is one reason why having the head number in the lobby I think is worth implementing in some way.
