I think Neil Channing has mentioned on here about asking for a "Poker Rate" at casinos that can help get a better price. I have always found its best to get all the phone numbers of the hotels that you are interested in staying at from online and try and negotiate yourself. Once you found a rate and place you like book it. and they will take the nights rate as deposit for the whole stay. BUT the rates always fluctuate and you can rebook at a new cheaper rate if one appears before your trip and you only have to give 24 hours notice to cancel a booking and recieve a refund. Besides poker Vegas is a business conference town and when delegates don't make the conferences prices change.A message for Tikay the concrete conference is at the end of January 130,000 delegates!Hope this may help.
    Good Luck,
    Dave.

Book with the hotel directly if you find a better rate elsewhere through an agency call the hotel up as they have a best price guarantee and they will match or beat the agencys rate they do this as it saves them having to pay the fee they owe the agency for the booking.  Also the earlier you book the better as say for example you booked in january then you check the prices a couple of months later and the price has gone down call the hotel up and they will give you the new better rate.  They dont take payment for it until you arrive so nothing to lose out on and as long as you give 48 hour cancellation notice you wont be charged anything.  If you book with an agency like expedia or something the fee is non refundable.

The only time the agencys are worth using is sometimes when you book the flight and hotel together in a package deal sometimes they give you quite a decent discount and sometimes it can work out better this way but if your just booking the hotel always book directly through the hotel.

If your looking to stay in 1 of the ceasars propertys do it through this link http://www.wsop.com/2015/reservations/ as they have a wsop discount rate.
