Love or Poker? *UPDATE*

edited August 2015 in Poker Chat
You can take this with a pinch of salt, but I've genuinely got the hots for a dealer at my local casino - the problem is you're not allowed to date customers.

The other problem is I really love playing poker at this particular casino. What a dilemma!

So what should I do? Answers on a postcard/poll.

Stay in the casino. There's always Redtube and it's less brain damage ;-)

Depends if she really needs the money and her job. Try and chat see if she single or not first.

Lots of good responses - I'm going to ask her to marry me tonight, seems like the best thing to do.

    Post the proof please :)

GL also - you sure she isn't using the 'must not date punters' as an excuse? ;)

Yeah its the girl every time for me.

But you dont have to go all in straight away, maybe limp in then check it down till you know how you both feel then re - evaluate on the river.

Gl with your play hope it works out.

    hahahaha

Love this Dan!  I think you should turn this into a mini story and let us know how it goes.  It will then have all the makings of a film.

Dan goes into Casino and plays poker - meets girl
Dan likes look of girl - decides to ask friends for advice
Advise goes Viral - Dan decides to make a decent thread of it
Dan falls in love with girl
Girl finds out about thread - hates Dan - Gets Dan banned from Casino
In a bid to win her back - Dan goes to WSOP and wins - dedicating the win to her and donating the winnings to her favourite chairty.

    Hope it goes well bud

    Matt

Loving this thred, humour is the way forward :) And...English language is great innit, how to change the meaning of a sentence by a simple full stop between Sky and poker. ;)

I've got the same issue, Dan... well, similar.

Two of the female dealers fancy me, but I've told them I would rather we stayed friends so I could continue to play there.

    MBN.

Well I sat and talked to her on the break but it was hard to get a word in as half the casino walked past and shouted 'YOU'RE NOT AT IT AGAIN ARE YOU?' Going to be a long-ball game this.

As for pictures, I will try the next time I go in if I can be subtle enough.

If you had ever seen one of Slippy's shirts, you would know that any girl that even remotely found him attractive, would have to be colour blind.  Given the different colour chips, it is unlikely that one, never mind two, female dealers would be employed in the Casino, never mind fancy him.

Seeing Dan every day in the office makes me certain that this poll is unnecessary. You will be fine to keep playing in there mate.

So, said dealer is leaving the casino and has asked when we're going for a drink.

You got to go with your gut. Be brave and bring her something next time you go. Let her know that she excites you and you would like to get to know her, keep trying. Dont let the rules get in the way of something that could change your life. If all else fails you've still got all of us and poker.
    Good Luck
