More collusion???

edited May 2015 in Poker Chat
I have just reported the 2 players involved in this hand to cc. They were both from the same town and it looks pretty blatant to me. I mentioned it in the chat box, one of them replied "maybe" and the other said they live in a big place. Doesn't wash with me.

Thoughts? CC have assured me that this will be investigated but for obvious reasons I will not be told what the outcome is.

More importantly, a king paired with a 5 of the same suit and a fold?!

Looks pretty bad on the surface.

I forgot to mention, this is a DYM with 4 left.

Big coincidence if this isn't chip dumping imo

I think you can guess the answer to that one lol. That is irrelevant though, I would have reported it whatever the outcome.
I'm just asking if it looks as bad/blatant as appeared in game.

Cheers Dan, much appreciated. I was told that I could not be informed on the outcome of this or any investigation, which is fair enough.

I am assuming that all games involving this pair can or will be looked at??

We will let you and any other affected players know if something untoward has taken place, and yes part of our investigation will involve looking at hand histories from any number of games/tournaments.

Incidents like this seem to be cropping up quite often at the moment. However it also has to be said that Sky appear to be investigating any allegations much faster than before and taking swift action where necessary. As I'm sure they will in this case if warranted.

My hunch is that the big scandal that broke at Easter is behind this. For a couple of weeks it was easy to get the impression, based on what was being said on social media and other poker forums, that Sky were turning a blind-eye to collusion. It's no surprise that a small number of other players who saw this decided to adopt similar tactics, thinking they might be able to get away it.

I think a painful lesson was learned by the site. Silence doesn't work, honest players need to see that action is taken to deal with cheats. As a result anyone trying funny business now is probably now more likely to get caught than ever. We all know there'll always be sporadic incidents of collusion, on all sites. But I'd like to think the worst is behind us here now and we can play the game we love with more confidence than before.
