    Buy in full

Bet flop smaller without reads. What's the plan if he raises?

Turn looks fine, I might raise smaller

    Hey Fi really interesting hand.

I really like the raise on the turn.

I'm a bit worried when he min clicks it back, but defo getting it in here on the turn.

We get it in fantastic shape, that's all we can hope to do.

    -----------------------------------------------------------

    Pot Size Bets

If we are playing against someone that wont fold, then it's ok to mash the pot button when we are going for value.

However, the vast majority of the time we will be playing players that are going to notice we only bet (pot sized) with really strong hands.

We want to be balanced, so betting the same amount with bluffs as with value hands, so it's harder for our opponents to put us on a hand. If we always bet pot with our strong hands, a lot of the time we will be missing out on value because we are playing our cards pretty face up.

    Fi33er.
You played the hand aggressively you had position you had the best hand and you get it in ahead for all the doh. You lose overall but aspects of play are good but outcome is not. Here are some things to think about with ref to what we spoke about earlier. Thinking of the different situations of this hand that you could of found yourself in. Thinking of different outcomes and possibilities will nullify your over riding feeling of being unlucky and will make you better long term.

    Situation

Flop 2s6s9s   qsqh  vs   kdkh     Turn   Td           River  6d                       Possible range

                         42%   58%         25%   75%      0%   100%

Flop 2s6s9s   qsqh  vs   7d7c     Turn   Td           River  6d                       Possible range

                         93%    7%            91%   9%         100%    0%

Flop 2s6s9s   qsqh  vs   ahkc    Turn   Td           River  6d                       Possible range

                         87%    13%           91%    9%       100%    0%

Flop 2s6s9s   qsqh  vs   qc7c    Turn   Td           River  6d                       Possible range

                         98%     2%             93%   7%          100%    0%

Here are different parts of is range that he could turn up with and the percentage shows yours and his equity and possibility of winning hand. Thinking in this way will give you understanding of being either way ahead or way behind when you get the money in. Also how often you want to get the money in.

    Questions to ask yourself

Did you ever think you were drawing dead when you got the money in?
Did you think he had a straight or a flush when he raises you?
Did you think he had a pair and a draw like you but better or worse?
Did you think opponent was bluffing?
Did you think what will my image look like here if I lose this?
Did you think about the current game flow, were you winning were you losing?
Did you think how opponents was running?
Did you think about opponent being strong or weak and should I play a big pot against him or a small one?
WERE YOU PLEASED WITH HOW YOU PLAYED THE SEEION OVERALL?

There are times in poker when you are never drawing dead but drawing really thin when you get your money so there are small % chance you can win if cards come your way. This example seems extreme but you cant control what the cards do.

The questions above may seem like a complicated way of thinking about poker but if you want to improve these are some of the other factors that are relevant to you getting your stack in. The more you think about them here the quicker your thought process is at the table and if you are thinking more about the game than your opponents then that is also your aim.

    Good luck Danny
