Why does this keep happening pre iam 40%v32% for the scoop 55%v44% for the high 31%v22% for lo then on flop iam 47%v42% for the scoop 57%v42 for the high 12%v12% for lo then on turn i jump too 52%v30% for the scoop 70%v30% for the high but then of course the miracle river comes.... every step of the way i am in front yet lose...what can i do???

You know the turn equity is completely meaningless? Considering what he called flop bet with(and what you shoved with?) kind of looks like the flop equity is not all that meaningful either(are you check folding any flop? Is he not calling any flop?)

Looking at how equities change after the money goes in only really serves the purpose of exaggerating in your mind how lucky or unlucky you got.

Understand what u are meaning but i have got it in v a weaker hand and improved on the flop thenput an all in bet and been called by air!

Its not like i have not tried too put the opponent out the hand he has called an all in on the turn with virtually nothing and hits

Should i just limp every hand?

2nd hand yeah i should have just gave up on EDIT:flop

Advice - If you're focusing your energy on analysing a hand to improve how you play in the future, don't waste any of it on things you can't control.

When you opened the hand what percentage of flops was you going all in on?

Was you calling a three bet?

If you're going with the hand regardless of anything is it a strong enough hand to do it with?

Did you need to raise so much preflop so as to be quite so committed? If your opponent is defending this hand to this size and stacking off on this flop could there be a case for raising smaller and leaving more room to be able to check/ fold some flops. If you do flop well seems likely you won't lose out on much value for the pot being smaller?

You'll probably need some one with more experience of PLO8 (was it a DYM or tourney?) to help you with the technical side of things, i think these are the sort of questions you'd be better off asking though.

Thank you raggy..

1st hand was more a case of blind stealing knowing the bb would not call without somthing.and then after the flop v villain had him as willing too chase any hand with any 4 so felt i was still ahead and thought i would get the fold.

2nd hand i have overplayed the aces but v the oponent put him on pretty much same hand as me minus an ace so felt was ahead and as the odds proved i was right but i agree that maybe look at what i could/should have done different..

Both in mtts.

And thank you again raggy think i need too just take a break and look at how i play and what i can do and not blame others for my own errors/faults

PS not sure why 2nd hand came like that ..

I mean if you think you have the best hand (or the right equity with the pot odds), fair enough putting your money in. If you have him as willing to chase any draw with any four though it sounds like flawed thinking to at the same time be expecting many folds.

so it continues here i am 53%v17% for the scoop and 63%v 35% for the hi 35%v9% for the lo and still lose both... this has been going on since december its getting boring just seems that no matter how or what i play im losing

No hi low expert only know basics.

From looking at all hand history looks like you are overplaying AA hugely in the 4 card game and getting it all in pre with medium hands.

Play looks very aggro. Maybe playing same guys and they have notes that happy to get it in light?

Anyways, do not really get the game that well, just my obs

Yeah that was my thinking reading this... aren't a lot of these the stat equivalent of things like AJ vs KT all in spins in NLHE... frustrating when your better hand doesn't hold but not in the league as AA vs ATC, let alone close to getting in with top set and losing to runner-runner flush/straight or 1-outer for quads?

I think moving back to the 2 card game may be the best option if you don't run well in pre-flop all ins!
