Really enjoying these videos. Scotty Nguyen interview ws my favourite.... 'I like to see someone with class' and points to own tracksuit. Love it baby!
Phil Laak seems a genuinely great laugh who loves poker whatever the stakes. What he has for breakfast to get that always approach to life would be worth bottling to sell. Neil "I love this man "(says phil laak)Channing should open invite them both onto sky poker or a live event. I'm sure they would come.Fingers crossed.
Great Diaries and interviews through out the world series, thank you and also to Tikay. Your general moans and daily updates have been a go to for me as soon as i open up the laptop in the morning.
On behalf of the Sky Poker Team here in Vegas (Dan, Neil, Spearmint Sam & myself) just a quick "thank you" for all the kind comments about the videos. There simply was not time whilst we were working to thank you all, but they were much appreciated.
Producing 4 or 5 of these every day was surprisingly time consuming. Give any of us 12 or 16 hours work we can get our teeth into, & we are fine, but making these vids was all stop & start - find the player, find the location, sort of "escort" the player to the location (very few players WANT to do interviews so we had to keep hold of them), & get the thing recorded, usually within a 20 minute break, was surprisingly challenging.
Location was a constant headache, too. The WSOP Media Guidelines are very strict indeed - we get 5 minutes in the Cardrooms each day, & are escorted by a WSOP official with a stopwatch to ensure we don't exceed the 5 minutes.
Apart from those 5 minutes, ALL media footage HAS to be done in the Media Room, no exceptions, which is drab, dull, dark, dingy, & in which we have to fight for space with all the other crews. The backdrops in the room feature commercial messages which we don't especially want to show, either.
So, all those videos you saw shot outside, with the Strip in the background, broke the Media Rules, & we were in danger of getting our Media Passes revoked. Luckily, Neil & myself have built up great relationships with Seth, Nolan, Jack & Ty over the years, so they turned a bit of a blind eye to our flagrant naughtiness.
The "Daily Moan", which was based upon the immensely popular "Weekly Rant" which Daniel Negreanu used to do, got a bit of negativity, as not everyone "got" that they were tongue in cheek, but Neil's Daily Diary, the Daily WSOP Update & the variety of interviews were fun to do & seemingly reasonably well-received for the most part.
No other UK or European facing online poker site did these, or not that I am aware, so a big well done to Sky Poker, & it is no wonder that Sky Poker is growing at a rate of knots whilst most other online poker sites are in serious decline. To be growing rapidly in this market is an outstanding achievement.
Anyway, from all of us here, thank you, your positive comments meant a great deal to us.

Phil's great. Another great ambassador for poker. He channels the energy of the multi-dimensional matrix of the thing perfectly...
Loved the videos. Can't believe the DM got a bit of negativity, haha.. some people! "People should dress properly!" (subtle reveal of shorts and hideous purple socks). "Yeah but it's a dry heat". Marv!
Cheers for all the moans, diaries, interviews and site-seeing.
I was pretty surprised that so few other poker media sites did video. With Poker News losing the right to cover the events via "live reporting updates" so that literally standing over tables watching people play hands and writing down what happens is supposed to be only done by WSOP.com, you would think that PokerNews, Bluff Media and a few of the others that had people there would have focussed on video. PokerNews did a few as did Stars but I found the former pretty typical of them...massively sucking up to the players, assuming that all pros are loaded and busy having 5-figure side bets on every event and allowing players to waffle on about their chip count in the early stages of the current event, while the latter obv do a job of promoting their sponsored pros in an aspirational "work up and be a baller like me" way.
I'd like to think we did something a bit different. It is hard though, some players are a bit unapproachable, and we would ideally like to get fun people who we can ask a few different questions to, but we are very aware that it's all about getting hits and trying to get 1000 people to watch each video.
Tikay begged Dan and I to do some more videos on the strip, particularly walking from Wynn to the Stratosphere and on to the Wedding Chapels and seedy motels towards downtown. We just couldn't seem to find the time.
I enjoyed the videos I was involved with and the fairly positive response on Twitter, Facebook and here was very much appreciated.

I have loved all the videos on the strip and "out and about in Vegas."My 1st visit to Vegas was just after 9/11 and we got some amazing flights (Really! yes !!) but had been planning to go anyway and had booked the flights just after and sorted our hotels on our own without using travel agents.(it always amazes me that some expensive around the world tours on a cruise also include a few days at The Stratospere or Circus Circus while stopping over in Vegas and sometimes....Excalibur! Surely if you're paying £12000 for a cruise you wouldn't want to spend a night in any of those places.(Especially over 50's cruise guests at circus circus!)(Anyway obviously not in marketing!)
Anyway off topic..... Just to say my parents go to Las Vegas every year( yes , i'm very jealous!) but they don't really gamble but they did watch all of your around the casinos 4 parter on the strip through vegas videos and loved them! and even watched the daily moans !
Cheers all and will try and qualify again when the next satelites happen,
