could be betting a lot worse for value that you beat. Depends on how much of a donk you think he is + timing tells. Even if you assume hes never bluffing the river its still not a bad call mathematically i dont think.

When you said the player in question started with £20 I assume you mean that they sat-down with that and ran it upto £90 by the time this hand was played? And we have no information on them whatsoever?

Have no complaints with the way you played the hand with one exception. I like the bet size on the flop if you're just trying to build the pot for when you hit one of your gazillion outs, but on the turn I think we can squeeze more value out of them than £12. I'd usually go for at least £15, but this isn't a major thing since the only thing it does is give us more value and it doesn't define the hand anymore than betting £12 does.

Villain can show up with KQ/KJ often enough to call here, or they might have JT and just wanted to avoid a club on the river so they can bet for value repping a missed flush draw (which is also part of their range IMO). I feel we're only behind to J9 and possibly AJ if the player is bad enough to chase for the gutter, so I call expecting to be best here.

Insta fold. You're up against AJ and that's all there is to it.

Basically it was as offshoot said i thought that the chances he was bluffing were slim to none but that he might have had KQ or another hand that he thought had me beat. As to younguns point about the bet size on the turn i didnt want to scare of a worse flush draw primariilly and if he was calling with a straight draw then hes only got 6 outs and the clubs that made both our draws would probably get me his stack.
