Network issues July 15

edited July 2015 in Poker Chat
Any news on these network issues again today?

Tried logging on earlier - timed out every time.

Came on again now, took an age to load page on all 3 devises (all other web pages ok)

Finally got on, can not register mtt, load up cash table to check, 3 players away

Pleassseeeee resolve. Is more annoying this time for me personally as problem reported few days ago and was resolved but reared its head again :(

What I will say though is at least it does get resolved for long periods in general, I been championing new it systems at work for 4 years and each time have a date to launch it gets delayed 6 months at a time :)

Ye im having major issues loading up, and once loaded very laggy and keeps cutting out mid game, very frustrating when mid hand.

    BTW its the 14th ; )

Been awful. Cut my night short as was horrible playing with so much lag. Cost me money and chips with time outs. Unacceptable.

My table in the Turbo was closed and replaced with the Sky Maintenance Page telling me the site was down for maintenance.

I tried for around 10 minutes to get back on, but kept getting the Sky Maintenance page or my table without any ability to play.

I presumed the Main event had been stopped and cancelled for tonight and was expecting a refund, but it looks like the tournament is now running again?

    Really confused?

Don't know re Customer Care, but it HAS been running like a jobby....

When we have problems like these, isn't it expecting too much for Sky to put a post on either their Facebook page or their Twitter letting us know and also when they think it has been resolved?

    a) it's proper customer care; and

    b) it would cut down on the amount of people trying to get through to live chat

I know I'm frustrated because I had lots of WSOP updates and posts ready to roll but by the time I could post them they were hopelessly out of date so I just deleted them.

Grrr just had to watch myself fold KK in the bb with a small stack all in and a raise in the cut off, re raised enough to put cut off all in too ( bh btw ) but had to watch in horror as my time bar carried on going down with me mashing the button to no avail, sigh.

So frustrated ended up shoving 66 a few hands later only to be called, ironically, by kk.

GG? I think not, thats enough for me, very frustrating.

Already lost a good friend because of it and what customer care said to them. :(

    Same problems as OP.

Does this have anything to do with Flash being binned by Firefox, etc?

    Morning Mick,

No, it was something which affected the whole platform - Bet, Vegas, Bingo, Casino & Poker.

Ive googled this , do the client and the browser both rely on adobe?  because the browser worked for poker ,but not
    the forums.

Yes they replied by email saying they reviewed my games and can see I had connection issues but as no-one else on the tables were affected a refund could not be issued.  Others certainly were affected at one point when I managed to open some tables there was 3 sat out! Its not the end of the world I cashed in 2 out of the 6 and managed to play some hands on each table but it certainly affected my chances of cashing in the rest.

I would ring them if I were you. I always find it better to talk to someone rather than email. I was discoed from a number of games and was refunded.

I tried Chrome, Firefox & Client on my laptop - no joy.
I tried App and browser on iPad - no joy.

As Tikay said it was a whole site issue.

Thanks, I have replied asking them to look here for examples that others were affected.  I'll give them a ring if I get the same response.

I guess you missed my post, the main event was NOT running like 'a jobby' for everyone.

Having your table replaced by a pop up saying the Sky site is down for maintenance is not your standard connection problem.

I saw it was light  hearted humour of the non offensive quick witted genre.

Happened to me just now in a dym on the bubble, Sky paused the game until they resolved the issue which I thought was a good solution.

Just to clarify - it hasn't been binned as such. They've disabled it by default. What you will get is a little pop-up on every site visited (with Flash on it) asking if you want to enable it, to which you have to say Yes + Remember if you don't want it to do that every time.
