Back from APAT Tourney - Thanks for your Support!!

Just back in from 2 day APAT tournament finished 7th for £250 (u all know that!!)




Huge thanks to OnlyOneCT for the updates which I am reading now and huge thanks for all the messages of support on the forum which were being relayed to me all the time, even huger thanks to Mike1975, JamieLou, Jamielou's clan!, Dollie, Joobie, Kaidus who railed me at the casino and made plenty of noise when I rivered a set of 8s! and Phil Loki Rogy who railed by text, also thanks to the other team members who gee'd me up throughout day one. Thanks also to SPT Rich and Sky Des who kept me informed with your best wishes from the forum and who took photos and generally bigged me up!

And massive thanks to my fiancee Sian who was amazing, keeping me sane and keeping my confidence high during what turned out to be a 20 hour poker marathon!

Sky Poker forum 11th of 20 with 37 points, ahead of some notable established forums so nice result and one to improve on next year!

Guy that took me out went on to win so congrats Billy Wallace if you are reading!!

    WELL DONE!!!!  You did the team proud (and especially me!!)

    Had a great weekend watching the APAT and even learnt a thing or 2!!  Was great to put some faces to names and to meet back up with the people from Newcastle SPT.

    Once again though well done Dave - 7th - wow youre the man!!

    Cheers Rich, wicked support on the forum which I was getting at the table and had the second biggest rail crowd round the table which included some new friends from the NI poker team.

    Amazing weekend! Was card dead on FT apart from 88 and ended up having to shove with 4BB with 78 to an uncalled pot from SB, he had aces!

    Earlier on I hit a 1 outer when all in A9 v AJ and a guy revealed he folded 99, I hit the case 9!

    Kaidus will report from his perspective, should be a good read.

    Cheers mate, I remembered your good luck message in that Omaha DYM and it rubbed off!

    Yeah I was delighted, real mental challenge, played for 20 hours to get there! All 8 were still in at dinner break, I know at least 4 had folded most hands due to being card dead, in such a slow structure it gets frustrating.  I was lucky to get off to a flyer winning a 6k pot, Tina battled a short stack for what seemed like ages to get her 2 points, Loki made a phenomenal read to survive after walking into quads and Joobs got unlucky when going real well as did Kaidus and Tallboy. Mike never got any cards, Grimlock was ahead of me when he walked into aces. I took 3 horror beats in a row, I had A 10 beaten by A2 and also JJ beaten by Q2, got lucky when my A9 beat AJ and 2 or 3 suicide shoves came off. Its all about getting the right luck at the right time, it was my day.
