TT in BB live - shove or fold

edited September 2015 in The Poker Clinic
Turbo deepstack 8 handed on table, not near the cash.
600/1200 + ante

hero near avg stack 40k

hijack minraise (active but not showing any weak hands)
cutoff calls (strong solid player)
Btn 3 bets to 6k (very difficult player, probably best in the tourney, likes to raise but has gone with his hand when put to the test)

hero in the BB with TT what to do?

    Hi Geldy

I have never played live but,

Another 3 bigs to call and we have just over 30 bigs.

What about calling to see a flop and take it from there hopefully hitting a 10.

If it was just shove or fold maybe fold just but very close.

    Given the action id fold.

    We have plenty of bigs.

H/j could have us crushed, button could have us crushed/ at best flipping (if called).

Id wait for a better spot, unless we have a massive read the button is 3 betting light here.

    So it's 2bb raise, a call, and a 3bet to 5bb total.

When we got 33bb and the most likely situation (after we call) is the other two just call too, I prob flick in the extra 4bb, and fold on what will be vvv rare occasions you see a 4bet.

We got way too much to jam imo, and 4b/fold or 4b/call are both horrible options so folding is my 2nd favourite option after calling.

    Thanks guys.

    In bold my thoughts too.

As you say if we call we prob get two calls behind. The flop comes 9 high rainbow. Everyone checks round to the 3-bettor who duly bets. What next?

and on this occasion it would have worked (probably). However I folded pre. Action went c/c from original raiser. T on the turn followed be c/f to the button's second bullet.
