First Live Tournament tomorrow

Hi Guys

Been playing online for many years but deciding to try my hand at a live tourney at my local casino tomorrow for the first time.

Would appreciate any help and tips from experienced live players as to the differences between live and internet play.

Very good luck with it, if your unsure ask the dealer am sure the dealer and the players will know you've not played live before. Check your chips before you throw them in and always announce what you are doing and how many chips you want to put in. I only played live twice.

I was alittle nervous the first time i played live watching the chips fly around the table at a dizzying speed and i thought to myself i am playing well out of my league.But during the break i got talking to someone and he said take your time play your own game and just relax and enjoy it which i then did and if you do the same im sure you will have fun.Although the internet is fun and a great place to hone your game there is nothing that compares to the thrill of playing live winning a large pot and scooping up all those chips.Play well and enjoy

Thanks for the tips lads,

Although I didn't manage to cash, it was a fun evening and made a few friends along the way.

One thing which i struggled with slightly was remembering to put in my blinds and antes and got a playful kick under the table on a few occasions from the lady sat next to me as a gentle reminder!

All in all a thoroughly enjoyable night and looking forward to more.
