Im not one of these players who say "play jacks carefully early on" - I play the game as I see it, no matter what stage of the tourny it is, I always raise big pre flop with jacks. - Thats the only criticsm I can find with this hand.
Maybe bet pot on the flop, but its not gonna make a difference, if hes calling pre with 8-6, he aint going away when hes hit top pair.
Inevitably people are gonna say raise more pre, but Id like to see some replies from the people who say playing jacks cautiously pre flop early on is the way forward. - This is a classic example of WHY I believe u shudnt!
Limp n call in front of u and players behind, Im raising 150 at least. Take it down there. Also, the flop is nice for jacks, having built the pot pre, a pot sized bet on the flop wud be alot more significant, and maybe the guy folds or shoves. Makes it alot easier to play the turn too.

Only 200 into 290 on flop is not enough imo, needs to be much close to 300. Although saying this, he still called with 2nd pair no kicker, so propbably would have still called lol.
Finally after his raise on the turn I'd just fold, frustrating fold but has to be done. His raise has to be representing more than top pair.
JJ is the hardest hand to play and arguements can be made for playing hard or limping in. You however did neither and fell into the trap of playing weakly whilst giving all your chips away. Either play hard or soft, dont allow yourself to fall into the middle ground.
All the best

3 Way on the flop you want to be betting pot and shutting it down. He's not played it great either but you could have taken this pot down much earlier I think.
The way it played out I wouldn't be getting away from it, but I'd hope to have won it before the flop or on the flop.
How did I do this time?

Maybe slightly bigger bet on the turn though.
Good check on the river too.
should i of just called the raise after the flop to try and trap?
