    Hello GRINTLER.

    Last weekend of this round.

    You have posted on here, just never seem to be around when I am.

    Sunday after 9pm any good?

    If you post and commit to play (but can't do this weekend) I will be happy to keep you in the hat for the draw on monday.

    Wilhelm and pompeynic haven't posted on here at all and as far as can make out (unless they are playing cash only) haven't played on the site in a good while.

    Hi Ger and all hu players,
    Very sorry but I have had a few personal problems and have been unable to play for quite a while now, I will be unable to play until late December or early January. If we can hold on until then fantastic, if not, I would like to wish Ger , my PLO8 friend, and all round good egg, the best of luck and I hope you go on and win it for the ploppers. If we can postpone until when I am back I will contact you then. May I take this opportunity to wish everyone a very merry Christmas and a happy, healthy and prosperous new year.

    I think the deadline is 20th December. I kinda feel like I've got to the last 16 by default what with a bye in a previous round aswell! A non league team in the last 16 of the FA Cup eh!

    I will do my best to fly the flag proudly for the ploppers, of course Churchy is still there too!

    Really sorry that you are having some problems and I hope things are better soon.

    In terms of the competition I will have to go by the Ts and Cs....


    Deadlines for completion for each round will be posted here. Please try and complete your fixture as soon as possible. If the fixture is not completed by the deadline the default will be both players are excluded. If there is clear evidence in the HUFA fixtures thread of one player only being at fault for non-fulfilment of a fixture then the player at fault will be excluded and the other player awarded a walkover into the next round.

    ...I will show a little leniency if both players are actively trying to play and are struggling with timings."

    I put deadlines in place to be fair to those who play early and to account for players who sign up and cannot then play.

    If you were looking to play asap I might be able to help here but in another week or two we will be half way through the next round.

    Deadline ruling.

    Given what I said on the post in response to Pompeynic I feel I need to consistent, both to all of the contestants yet to play in this round and to the ones scratched previously.

    GRINTLER and I have been trying to play, with posts here and even PMs exchanged. While I may have posted more, I am running this thing and don't want to benefit from a walkover on a "trying harder" measure when I am the organiser.

    Hopefully we can play tonight and problem solved.

    Wilhelm v Jac35 - Jac posted very early on this round and then PM'd me to ask what should he do as there was no response on here and couldn't see Wilhelm at the tables. I replied that the onus was now on Wilhelm and that I would send out reminders as the deadline approaches. Wilhelm has now posted, acknowledging he had not been playing and forgotten about the HUFA. He can play while Jac cannot this weekend.

    Pompeynic v Gerardirl - seems a bit clear-cut if pompeynic cannot play- however unfortunate the circumstances.

    Looking back at earlier rounds I did give this opportunity to ItsOver4U. So for consistency sake I will do the same.

    If any of the remaining contestants can post on here today and confirm that they are willing and able to play this fixture by the end of Tuesday 22nd Dec then I will allow that. I will also much prefer it as I don't like walkovers. Walkovers do have to be there as a last resort to keep the competition going though.

    I have a back-up plan in case GRINTLER and I cannot play. 

    The draw will take place tomorrow - If any games are undecided there will be an either/or option in the hat.

    For me Jac, Phantom and myself should progress. There was ample timeto organise these games and you should be trying to organise them when the draw is made, forgetting about it is a no no, eliminate the others.

    He should not worry about that, he has not sought to gain any advantage. It will go on forever unless he sticks to the pre-agreed rules.

    Found GRINTLER on chat tonight.

    He was playing on mobile and couldn't multi-table

    Yes, for the extension I was expecting a post before the deadline for the round.

    The idea of the extension was to support two players "actively trying" to get a fixture played.

    I logged on this morning and saw that you and pompeynic had not posted and so I prepared the Round 4 draw with walkovers for Jac and Ger.

    Both times you posted on here you acknowledged you were in error and would accept being scratched so I am afraid there it is.

    When this happened in the past and if it happens in the future I need to side with the players who have been active here.

    Just finished my match with lmfaoallin and managed to snag a closely fought 3-2 victory. We decided on the turbo format which might have been a bad choice, before you have time to blnik your basically playing push fold poker. Pretty crazy game where we got dealt the same hand A LOT, including AQ V AQ all in pre, 44 v 44 all in pre, q4s v q4h and nut str8 v nut str8 with both holding T9. Was fought in good spirits and half expected him to get the win after coming from behind twice to draw level, but there was no cinderella story as i managed to cooler him JJ v A7o. So onwards to the enxt round, hope i get 'stayorgo' next definitely the biggest fish left in the comp and guaranteed to win that one. Also after a £200 losing session, it was nice to make 40p of it back.

    Vg games, really enjoyed it.

    Was a very close contest, crazy how on so many occasions when it went aipf we had exact same hand!

    Exciting stuff too with you twice taking the lead and me levelling up each time to go into the final match 2-2, so nearly hero'd ace high at the end there, wp m8 and gl in the next round, hope you tid!

    Big up Phantom for organising it all too, great stuff. Hope it becomes a regular fixture.

    I certainly do not think you have disrepected the competition.

    I am 100% sure that as a community regular you entered this competition in good faith and that circumstances changed.

    The nut worse thing about running this thing for me is awarding walkovers.

    After a tightly fought contest which I nearly threw away after going 2-0 up, I edged ChippyPig 3-2 to get to the next round. There was nearly a cinderella story as I found myself flipping to survive in the final game but I managed to hold and went on to win, despite chippy's best efforts of spinning it back up from 20 chips. We weren't sure how much it was up to so just decided on first to three :) I truly am the specialist of ragging wins by a 1 game margin
