Plasyed against this guy on Saturday who seemed good but quite tight and ABC.

My question is the best way to balance the issue of being OOP and trying to get value for made hands.
I played the hand riase pre and then half pot on flop turn and river as I wanted to keep the pot smaller than if I were in position.

My questions are,
1) do you think it is best to check call river when flush hits?
2) is it best to bet fold river to unknown when range is pretty clear with his sizing when flush hits?
3) should I ever think to jam turn and not give him odds to continue or is this being results orientated?

Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Danny

I'm not too qualified to give my opinion on cash as it isn't my strong point.
I would be betting slightly larger on the flop and for me the river is a bet fold. I don't think he ever raises a worse hand for value and I'm not sure he just decides to bluff there so I fold to the raise.

You shouldn't jam turn as you want flush draws to call that bet and Jx is drawing dead. He isn't getting the odds to call with his draw so it's a profitable bet. He gets there less than 20% of the time and we get an extra bet when he hits his overcard

Groggy, Thanks for the reply.  I kind of followed one line of keeping it cheap but then defeated that approach by calling his raise. I think you're answer is good and I might think of adopting that line next time with a set vs a flush draw oop. It;'s having the discipline and appying the logic when he raises river. I think he is never bluffing, never good enough to bluff there with that sizing and his range is then so narrow that it is what it is on the end. And betting and folding to a raise. Even your line makes more sense know cos i bet more for value when ahead on flop and turn and then re-assess river but it is still value i might lose another £1.50 rather than £5.10 more.
    Cheers though and good luck.
