    Looking at that,

    a) apologies for that horrible sentence in the third paragraph which just went on and on and on

    b) it would be ironic (in an Alanis Mo    rrissette type of way) if it did end this way, the one time Rainman didn't go for 220!

    "....Final tally - 263, so everyone apart from CardiffAce under-estimated the size of the field".

    That's astonishing - 97 entrants, & not ONE of the 97 guessed "higher" than the eventual answer, & only one person guessed correctly, so 96 of the 97 guessed too low. I could never have predicted such a lopsided response.

    Lack of decent football on TV can make such a difference, remarkable that the 3 previous weeks had traded in a very narrow band (& missed Guarantee all three weeks) of 214, 218 & 217, & this week, it  improved on that average by around 22%.
