When it gets checked round on the flop you have to bet something. In this spot it's so awkward because you have the absolute nuts and want to keep customers, however the worst thing you can do is give free cards for them to draw to. Strangely I had this exact same scenario happen to me I had 10's hit top set nuts then got checked round to me and I just bet a really small amount. The turn brought an ace which I thought was great and got money in against a turned straight.

The 5p/10p level is still a big donkey level so even with big hands you still have to bet them big, mainly to get paid and also to stop people drawing to 4 outers. In your spot I would bet at least £1, worse case you win tidy £1.55 pot, best case he makes bad call on next two streets.

From what I can see you are getting felted, a set does not beat a straight

These things happen if you check back the flop nothing you can do. I really dont mind the check though.

Why are you not cbetting here? 10nl people will call you with two overs let alone a pair. Don't be scared to frighten away customers when you have a strong hand you're missing out on a lot of value at small micros playing this way.

if i was you i wouldnt even be contemplating folding any sets at this level. Checking the flop is better than betting also imo.

I am checking the flop because there's not alot on the board that scares me.

Even on the turn I'm not really worried about anything, hence I didn't fold.

Flopping top set on an extremely dry board is very difficult to get paid until they catch up a bit, unfortunately this guy caught up and sped past but I don't think im playing it different on the flop.

Your raise on turn is much stronger than cbetting then betting turn yourself cause it's a complete blank. Don't you see? Anything that calls your turn bet on a blank 2x will of called 2streets in the first place.

I only check the flop if I'm vs nits or villains who are bluff happy, if you're vs these, then flop play is fine.
