What are your 2016 Poker-based New Years resolutions?

edited January 2016 in Poker Chat

Just that, ^^^^

Me?

Maintain rigid & strict bankroll management.

Try to improve my game. Plenty of scope there.....

Try & help those who are struggling with their game, or mental approach (tilt etc).

Try to be more tolerant of ill-mannered players.

Try to still be playing our wonderful game this time next year.

I'd like to start playing more as I've basically had nearly a year off. Still been reading/watching poker as much as I can, but do miss the actual playing bit now. Only stopped because other work/life stuff was getting in the way.
Played a couple of tournies recently and getting the bug again.

Seriously I want to improve at tournaments and would be ecstatic to make one of the main event final tables.

    I'm aiming to lose more.
    I'm off to a flier.

    Seriously.
I want to try and finish the 1000 dym challenge, which might be difficult as I can only play about 3 months in total this year.
And I'll try and do it properly. Well, for the mostpart anyway.

Secondly, we host/run/sometimes play it, a low stakes (10 Euro) rebuy tournament once a week in a friend's pub, aimed at tourists really. I want to think about how I can make it more fun. Structure needs changing so it's over quicker, the rebuys need to be limited (sometimes 5,6 or even 8 rebuys in the re-buy hour is normal for some people when full of ale) and the pre-game teach-in needs to be improved. Quite simply to do my best to make it less money orientated, more fun and easier for complete novices to have a go.

Thirdly, I'm going to stop losing on purpose when I think it's funny.

    Good afternoon Everyone.
My aim for 2016 is to get Mr Moorman and Mr Bates to play the £2.20 @2.20 deepstack.
And to get 220 runners, th ehighest so far has been 219.
    All the best.
    Rainman397.
P.S HAS ANYONE MENTIONED THE £2.20 @2.20 DEEPSTACK YET.

To learn how to play properly, to learn to concentrate and start reading not only the cards but the players too. To watch top players and how they do things. To learn to play PLo8 hi low. To start running deeper in tournies and maybe binking a few of the higher ones. Learn to be more aggressive and know when to shove. Last thing is to be feared on the tables instead of being classed as a fish ;)

With all the railing of rose against many top players in big tourneys, you should be an expert by now! I know its in there somewhere,so let it see the light of day.

To be mentally and emotioally tougher - Started yoga and meditation for this.

To be less attached to results (stop checking payouts) and more focussed on playing my "A" game.

To be fearless, disciplined - and lastly to enjoy this beautiful game, regardless of the outcome.

    Goodluck to everyone in 2016,

May the poker Gods be always at your side.
