You need to think about 'dignity' to take your mind off it....;-)

For live games it would be the rules that determine who has to show (i.e. the last person to bet or whatever). The rule should just be: everyone show your cards immediately after river betting is over or hand dead after, oh i don't know, 10 seconds. I think we could all play about double the number of hands if this happened.
I would stop the all-in before the flop!! Bugs the hell out of me Posted by ZeRo904
Morning ZeRo, & welcome to the Forum.
Can I ask you why that bothers you so much? I'm not criticising you, I'm just interested as I'm doing some research on what I see as irrational dislikes & intolerance.
Why does it exercise you so? It seems a very odd thing to bug someone so.
If it does, why don't you play a Pot Limit game, such as PLO or PLO8?
Imagine you won a seat to the WSOP Main Event, are dealt A-A first hand, & the geezer to your right goes "all-in". What would you do? What would you think? Happy, or unhappy?
I'd get rid of the fifth community card so I never have to hear another irrational whine about how someone's five card hand was bettered by an opponent's after the river was dealt.

That won't work, then there'd be "the Sky Poker turn".

Mr Channing is referring to an incident earlier today at the PCA, in which one Antonio Esfandiari was disqualified for doing exactly that. He had over 100,000 chips at the time. That's a lot of pennies.
I'd change one of the "live" poker rules, the one that says you cannot ask the total of the pot during a hand. Well not that you can't ask, but that the dealer can't count and tell you. Never quite understood why that was the rule. Posted by FCHD
I agree with this one, I hope in the future there is a screen on each table that shows the amount thats in the pot, it would speed the game up and also help colourblind people like myself who really struggle to work out what is in there

one interesting rule change proposal was floated on 2+2 [in the nvg section no less] as a barrier to hold em being solved by GTO engines
and that was that when you fold a hand you have to reveal one of your folded cards.
this added strategic element increases the game tree expoentially and maybe a necessary rule change when 6max holdem starts to be solved by GTO calculators.
Well you have to be careful or else you end up with a different game, but my changes and some have already been mentioned are (and in no particular order):-
1. The show down on the river and not showing your hand. If you choose to get involved to the level where a showdown occurs then you should be required to show your hand. If you do not wish this to happen then fold your hand earlier. You will know this will happen then and all those arguements over who needs to show, and who mucked when they perhaps shouldn't etc. and all the ill feeling would not occur. This way the game proceeds in a smoother, quicker, and friendlier manner.
2. That silly rule over not being able to raise when someone has made an all-in less than the minimum raise. This is supposed to be no limit, and again this justs causes confusion and irritates people.
3. I would like to see the rules tightened up on offensive behaviour at the table, and I don't mean the odd swear word if done in context. I mean offensive behaviour by one individual to another or others. In saying this and though I witnessed some it is no where as bad as some would believe.
The reason I pick those is that poker has changed over the years, no longer is it a seedy thing that happens in the dark backrooms of some dodgy establishment, no longer do you need the boys ready in case you win and need to get out with the money. Anybody can play now, it is no longer just the criminal element and friends but a social pastime for people to enjoy. Therefore things that cause confusion, anooyance and removing of the enjoyment of the game for the general public needs to be removed.

I'd probably ban peeing in a cup at the table under any circumstances.

all 3 streets are shown at once and the cards get revealed afterwards
