Sky Poker forums will be temporarily unavailable from 11pm Wednesday July 25th.
Sky Poker Forums is upgrading its look! Stay tuned for the big reveal!
I have reported this issue however, I'd just like to know if anyone else has experienced this too?
From the picture you can see 4 tables open. 3 are fine however, top left you can see that it's my turn to act and can see the time bank ticking down but no hole cards.

And yes, it COULD be down to the strength, or otherwise, of anyone's connection.
It does not matter though - the important thing, as I have stressed on here so many times, is to report these maladies to CC, because that means they get officially reported to the Poker Team, & that, in turn, allows them to see the frequency of the problem.
If, (hypothetical numbers), 10,000 players a day use the site, & CC only get 2 complaints, those 2 complaints won't suggest the problem is widespread or frequent.
As it happens, they ARE aware of this headache, & have been for a while, but I gather it's not that easy to recreate in a test environment. They don't doubt it is happening, but until they can re-simulate it actually occurring, it's tough to diagnose.
They'll continue to investigate, & I'll keep you informed.
I wrote a lengthy piece on how the SB&G CC works a while back, which explained why they ask what they do, & how the system works. I'll try & find it later today, & post it, after I've been to the gym.
SB&G is a very big Company, & so Customer Care is quite a task when the platform as a whole serves so many customers over the different parts of SB&G (Poker, Bingo, Bet, Vegas, Casino etc). And, as my piece explains, there's simply not enough contacts on poker to have staff on 24/7 staff dealing with poker only, they'd spend most of the day doing nothing, so they have to multi-task.
I'll try & find it a bit later, & I hope it will help the understanding of how they work.
PS - you heading down to the UKPC? If not, why not? We could have a good chat there if you buy me a latte.
PPS - Swansea 2, Sunderland 4. Are you kidding me?

That piece on Customer Care I mentioned is HERE
A quick PS to that thread (which was a FAIL, as nobody seemed to take any notice) included this tongue in cheek post by my very good friend Ger;
"Customer care will thank you for destroying its service levels Tikay lol."
Suggesting that as a result, a lot more contacts would arise.
In fact, it would IMPROVE some of their stats, as more contacts would reduce the cost per contact.
Contacts & service levels are measured, actual & v forecast, in a whole multitude of ways, by Product, reason, contact method (calls, e-Mails, chat), cost per product, success rate, speed of response, & so on. It's all summarised in a daily report.
Customer Care is a very high priority right across SB&G, & they strive constantly to improve it, which is done by analysing the stats within the contact Centre Daily Report. There is a win win here - Customer Care is actually a means to IMPROVE the Product. However, complaints made via the Forum are not included in those stats. And of course, customers using the Forum to abuse the site is why other Online Poker Sites don't have a Community.
I have a theory that the "sticky system" does not work, because they are usually boring stuff such as rules & guidelines. And nobody reads them.
There are some grand exceptions of course, such as Gary's Results thread, which ironically does not need to be stickied, as it keeps itself near the top.
In my view, "stickies" have EXACTLY the opposite effect to that intended. A good thread keeps itself prominent.
I never like to see more than 2 stickies per Board.
