From Last nights Super Roller FT. (Heads up) What would you do?

edited February 2016 in The Poker Clinic
So we all know that getting a bad beat late in a tourney feels pretty bad. But their is only one thing thats worse than that, and thats making a big mistake yourself.

I've been pretty ill all weekend and wasnt going to play last nights Super Roller, but ended up late regging last minute. It was gone 3am by the time we were heads up and my fever was giving me the sweats. Still I hate how I played this so i'm punishing myself by posting it here.

I was close to calling the turn lead, but at the last minute opted to raise with a lazy thought of "protection" and charging him to draw to a spade. After raising my straight, and getting re- raised I was in a horrible spot and ended up going with it thinking he could be doing the same with a straight, flush re-draw. Anyways this deep I would of liked to see myself just call the turn to keep bluffs/ weaker hands in, then decide if to raise on river.

Thoughts? (other than disastrous)
