    "tikays latte fetcher."

In sad news, I've had to give up on the lattes due to my latest diet (# 493), so 6 days at UKPC is going to be quite a test for me.

So that'll be tea, 2 sweeteners, please.

Not my first time but I'm really excited as always. I absolutely love playing live, it's great fun and a nice break from the online world of playing as many tables as possible and talking very little etc.

Could be quite testing for me too Tikay, it'll be 13 weeks of non smoking this Thursday coming but I've not been to too many social events during that time and I always smoke loads playing live poker. If (or rather when) I can get through UKPC without smoking, then I'll deffo feel like I've 'made it'.

I'm down for 1C anyway, driving up from my little village, Enstone, in Oxfordshire on the Saturday morning.

Glgl to everyone playing, I'll see you all there.

Hi playing the main on saturday and coming over from Ballymoney, Northern Ireland. Won a seat into it via a freeroll on sky which had over 1200 runners and only 1 seat so was feeling ecstatic when i got the seat as i hadnt really planned to try and win a seat for ukpc so was a surprise to me when i found out i would be going.

This will be my 2nd ukpc event the other 1 was the 6 max ukpc a couple of years ago.  Think that the last 1 was a £1k buyin and this 1 is £1100 so this event will be my highest buyin lifetime. Really looking forward to it.

     I'm definitely playing.

I'll be there for the High Roller on Wednesday night and hopefully I'll be busy winning that and I won't get to play Day 1a on Thursday...

...If by some freak that doesn't quite go to plan I will play Thursday...if by some freak that doesn't go to plan I shall play Day 1b Friday...

     Rinse and repeat.

Is someone putting the kettle on?

     I forgot the other questions...

     Coming from St Pancras.

I was told not to play the qualifiers as it could upset people if I "took their seat". I can see how it might.

I may go mad and have one beer if I win but I'd imagine I'll mostly want to sleep. I find the long days are getting much harder these days.

     The Liverpool manager I'm told.

     Yes please.

     Quite a few now.

Haven't missed one and don't intend to. These are great.

Not quite my first time playing live. Surely nobody should answer yes to that. Always good to get a quick practice in the tenner tournament at the local casino.

Looking forward to writing my name on a plastic bag.

     Milk and two please.

    My name is Neil

I am travelling from Edinburgh, just north of Yorkshire.

I qualified via the rewards FR with a ridicuously lucky final hand HU (K8 v A8 on a KAx flop.....)

I like to think of myself as jason Stathams bearded brother, not everyone agrees...

Biggest buy in tourney thus far was last years UKPC six max @£550.00

Lookiing forward most to flopping quads in a family pot whilst simultaneously getting a massage and drinking a beer.

I'll be there and I'm coming from Edinburgh early on the Friday morning and playing that day which isn't the best prep but overall makes most sense for me in terms of other things I have on that weekend, obv if I make day 2 the plans will be getting cancelled. I'm a youth worker and will be running a youth club with 50 mad teenagers on the Thursday night until 10pm so I'll be a tired lad but can get some rest on the way up.

As far as how I qualified, I had Monday/Tuesday off work last week so was killing time and looking to play a couple low stake sit and go's then I seen the qualifiers were on for the UKPC so thought I'd give it a try. Got to the semis with my first £2.50(or £2.70?) and then went all the way and finished 1st in the final Sunday past.

I'm 30 but not played much poker the last 6/7 years, the odd home game here and there is about it. I won a pub league 3 times on the bounce with around 50 players in it about 7/8 years ago but just never got into playing casino tournies as I was a student and didn't have the cash to invest to learn/lose with a step up in opponents and then just fell away from it. So long story short a couple casino visits aside I've never played higher than pub league level and not played in a long time, will likely be feeling the nerves a bit playing at this level but looking forward to it. If I had the time I'd have liked to have played live at the local casino sometime before Friday but just not able to do it as I work evenings, so it's straight into a tough Day 1b which will be filled with pros. Fun times :)

what will you do when you win? probably sigh with relief !! Feeling too old these days for too much jumping up and down!!

er, do you have a lookalike? that is up to the eye of the beholder

do you want your picture taken for the update?

where are you coming from? The distant land of Burnley

any qualification stories? Registered an all in satellite (and the semi) purely for the cash alternative as it didn't have many runners. Never intended to play the event. Forgot to unregister for the semi. Ended up qualifying from there.

what will you do when you win? Sit there in disbelief.

er, do you have a lookalike? I have been told i look like 'Beni' from the mummy. (after wearing a fez at a party) I disagree.

do you want your picture taken for the update? Just get an image of Beni off the internet. Apparently I look like him...

how many £1,000 events have you played? Exactly 0

for anyone, is it your first time at a UKPC?  Yes

First time playing live perhaps? 4th time. Played 3 random live games this past month as a warm up.

what are you looking forward to the most? Busting within the first hour and spending the rest of the evening crying at the bar

So who is playing? - Donald Sloss

where are you coming from? - North Yorkshire.

any qualification stories? - Got in from a £10 sat.

what will you do when you win? - Wake up from my dream.

er, do you have a lookalike? - only in the mirror.

do you want your picture taken for the update?-  Only if you get my best side.

how many £1,000 events have you played? - Managed to sat into the Six Max UKPC two years ago and the £500 one last year.

for anyone, is it your first time at a UKPC? - As above

First time playing live perhaps?  As above

what are you looking forward to the most? - The experience. There are not many sports/games where you can play with and learn from the very best. I also enjoy sitting across from someone who has paid £1100 for a seat when I've paid £10 - my Scottish heritage coming out.

I think it's great that Sky have given so many recreational players like me a chance to play at events like this one. Congratualtions to those who have made it and good luck next time to those who didn't.
Looking forward to meeting more Sky players on Saturday.

TEAM BROMLEY WILL BE IN THE HOUUUUUUSSSSEEEEEE!!! (the excessive use of exclamation marks is just for you Tikay ... I know you love them).

This particular rollcall is from the Female Bromley. The better Bromley if you will.

Where are you coming from? Blackburn, sadly. I wish I was still in Burnley.

Any qualification stories? None. Bought in. I suck at satellites* (*poker generally)

What will you do when you win? Chanel Handbags and a box at Burnley FC.

Do you have a lookalike? Dawn from the Office. Aparently.

Do you want your picture taken for the update? If you can Photoshop me to look like Cara Delevigne then knock yourselves out...

How many £1,000 events have you played? Erm, 10 maybe?

Is it your first time at a UKPC? It is not. The Sky Team have had to put up with me at all of the legs so far. Amazed I am not banned yet....

First time playing live perhaps? No. Might be my first time winning live?

What are you looking forward to the most? A fantastic tournament at a brilliant venue surrounded by incredible people.

See you at the weekend.  And Tikay - can you please return the Boy's pants. Thanks

HI I'm JEZ....JEZZA.....(or Jeremy to my mum).......Oh and I'm not going out with Stephanie Davis.....(Thats my tall, better looking tattooed Alter ego !!)......and I'm sorry boys, the piccy is of my daughter and she isn't coming to DTD. In fact looks wise I'm the Polar opposite of my daughter. She's Tall, Slim and Blonde and I'm .....NOT. So the piccy question I'll leave you to decide !!!!
I'm coming up to Notts from .....Bloody miles away!!! Perranporth in Cornwall actually, just South of Newquay, but we have 1 of the best beaches in the country, where I practice my golf on when its not busy. I was on there yesterday in the beautiful sunshine (just trying to make you all jealous)
I absolutely love the UKPC sats. format, as most of you who play in them will realise. We have a great community and lots of banter just in the sats. I managed to get thru to a few finals and finally qualified in early December, and fortunately managed to win another seat(I know its an issue with some people) the following week which absolutely made our Xmas......and meant we could pay the rent for another month!!!!!!
If I had the good fortune to win, as my school friend Fraser Bellamy managed to last February(i've a story or 2 about our past !!!) then it would be a case of clear the debts and a new car(just praying mine gets me to Notts. and back), deposit on a house......and lots of entries to try and get to Viva LAS VEGAS.
In the past, people asked if I was Joe Johnson (remember him anyone??) who won Snooker World Ch'ship years ago. Coming from Sheffield, sadly I never met him which might have been interesting, tho I did use to practice with Bill Werbeniuk (usually at the BAR !!!) but at snooker......I used to break off and he would clear the table !!!!
This will be the first £1000 tourney I've ever played, I qualified for the UKPC last August, which was the first time I'd ever played Poker live......a bit daunting to start with to say the least. I had a ROYAL FLUSH in the first hour of playing though......and got paid !!!  I was on a table with Harry(really nice lad) the eventual winner too. I achieved my goal and made the 2nd day.....only to bump into Harry again with a huge tray of chips, though he did say he had to finish 24th or better to break even. 1st was Ok then !!! I managed to cash in 37th which I was ecstatic and totally amazed about.
Other than playing live again, the one thing I'm really looking forward to is meeting all my SKY POKER friends, both new and old, OH YESSS......and Matt(Bates) getting that 1st round in !!!! .... and Andy(Chick) not slowrolling with his pint !!!!
Sorry about the essay, but it's gonna be FUN and I can't wait......and for all the newbies......You'll LOVE it and enjoy the experience

Thought I'd do a 'proper' one of these as I went a bit 'off-road' with my first reply and everyone else has stuck to the OP...

So who is playing? My name's Paul Lambert

where are you coming from? A village in Oxfordshire called Enstone

any qualification stories? Nothing too special, I got my seat pretty early when I'd spent about £100 on satellites total. Then I spent the rest of the qualification period trying (and failing) to win another seat so probably ended up paying full price for the seat!

what will you do when you win? Scream lots probably, then be really boring and put it all into buying a house.

er, do you have a lookalike? Not that I know of, someone once said David Blaine yearsss ago but that's a pretty bad shout imo.

do you want your picture taken for the update? Yeah

how many £1,000 events have you played? Only 1 other UKPC £1k main and a £1k Monte Carlo at DTD years ago when I was picked for TSP.

for anyone, is it your first time at a UKPC? Nope, played 3 of the mains now I think

First time playing live perhaps? Nope, although I've stilled played probably <15 live comps ever.

what are you looking forward to the most? Just playing live, I love it, and scooping my first pot, always nice to get that out the way early

Big Day Tomorrow soooooo here goes!

    So who is playing? Claire

where are you coming from? Hull

any qualification stories? I won a seat into one of the early finals from a freeroll not really knowing what it was and managed to secure a seat in that.

what will you do when you win? Probably cry haha, then book a holiday.

er, do you have a lookalike? Not that i know of.

do you want your picture taken for the update? If i have to lol.

how many £1,000 events have you played? This will be my first ever.

for anyone, is it your first time at a UKPC? Yep!

First time playing live perhaps? 2nd, I played a practise game last month.

what are you looking forward to the most: The experience and meeting some of the sky community :)
