A pretty good turn-out i didn't think it would be this busy, though you never know
Latest into the fray is this man, a commentator on past UKPCs and all round poker personality..
Mr Sam Grafton
can anyone tell me which EPT?
Doesn't look old enough does he?

it could be you come Monday
As Day1c heads into the evening, more of the regular faces are coming, or, in some cases, going.
"smoki3" just bust the Main, with a whole series of horrible beats, back to back, so he's heading home to Cwmbran, in South Wales.
He's in Highway Civil Engineering, which must be a dream job for anyone these days, so we spent a while comparing the relative merits of tarmacadam wearing courses. Fascinating, really.
Meanwhile, recent arrivals here, presumably playing tomorrow, include Pokey (Chris), Andrew1947 (Andrew, surprisingly), & a man I've not seen in ages, CTBN, aka Colin the Hippo.
I have a bit of banter with CTBN, but all joking aside, I love him to bits, a real man, who takes life's beats in his stride. So I was saddened to hear he has been really quite unwell, emergency operations & all sorts, & over 8 months "on the club" from work.
He seems to be recovered now, which is a relief, & he looks very well indeed for a man of 72.
The main is in level 12 of 15 today and we have nearly lost half the field today

I've made a very last minute decision to play UKPC on Saturday (arriving Fri evening) - will it be possible to buy-in directly via Sky or will I have to do it at the casino?
Shaun Johnston knocked out Ivor Frost with 10-9 v 7-7 on 10-9-5-2
Piecing it together with my ears open, Johnston was waxing lyrical to anyone who would listen (and anyone who wouldn't) about how he was "only stealing pre-flop" and "he must have put me on ace-king to move in then" (i assume on flop or turn)
Simon Hggins meanwhile is sat in a seat 9 having pushed his last 44,000 into a monster pot on the river of a

He catches my eye. I catch his. He looks away. I try to get a read.
Meanwhile his opponent in seat 1, the other side of the dealer is Robert Alexander.
Alexander covers Higgins
I wait as Alexander decides whether to call
Several minutes later i am still waiting
The clip clap of chips being riffled around the table interrupts the air of tension
Higgins looks impassive
Eventually Aexander calls
Higgins flips 3s 4s, from the cut off
Which was not what i had put him on
As Alexander mucks, presumably neither did he.
Johnston and Higgins are on over 200,000 just approaching the final break of today with 3 levels left to play
doors open 11.30am
if you are coming on saturday especially, best to be early
Can you leave that one with me until tomorrow morning? I may be able to arrange a DBI on Sky Poker, but can't confirm it until tomorrow morning. I think it'll be do-ble.
If not, yes, it can be done via DTD at the Cash Desk upon arrival, so we have a backstop in place, just in case.
Be good to see you down here.
I'll send you a PM right now, with the details of how it will be handled.
PM sent.
