Duhammel done very good in the 'big one for one drop'. He played very straight forward for most of it but was patient and took his chances well.

Just a bit of fun to make checking event updates at the WSOP 2016 even more interesting.

Event 1 kicks off on the 1st of June with 69 bracelet events this year.

I will pick 10 players and see if they can score a bracelet/bracelets between them. If anyone else wants to pick 10 and add a bit of interest/competition ...

Would be fun to each throw in £x and create a prizepool but I don't know how easy it would be to organise the prizepool so I guess it's just for bragging rights to see who can be the top tipster

My 10 picks in no particular order:

1: Shaun Deeb - The guy is a poker playing machine.
2: Phil Hellmuth - Love to hate him but cannot deny he is rather adept at picking up bracelets.
3: Brian Hastings - Double bracelet winner in 2015.
4: Max Pescatori - Has snagged 4 bracelets over the years and has had 50 cashes.
5: Scotty Nguyen - Controversial at times but stunning WSOP stats.
6: Dan Kelly - Already a double bracelet winner and fully expect DJK to win many more.
7: Daniel Negreanu - 6 bracelets, 83 cashes and $15m in WSOP earnings, hard to argue with that.
8: Eli Elezra - 3 bracelets and 41 cashes, great player at all the game variants.
9: Tikay - Hopefully he will do one for the PLO8 players and bag a PLO8 bracelet before the Sky players arrive
10: Neil Channing - Home interest again and will be following Neil's blog so hopefully he can bag one of those 'sort of gold bracelet' thingys

There are a load of others I would want to include but I am unsure how many events they will be playing this year.

Would be interesting to see other people's tips.

Ha, we are only playing 1 event so maybe we might not the best choices. I am sure we will give it a right old go though! I am not greedy and would happily accept 2nd

With the number of events rising every year I wouldn't be all that surprised if they did introduce DYM's lol.

I read that Dzmitry Urbanovich has a bet with Vanessa Selbst at 200/1 that he will win 3 bracelets. $10,000 to win $2million! And Ivey and Mercier play all the games really well so it's hard to look past them.

If I had a spare £2million to put up as collateral I would happily take that bet. Should be a very easy £10k for Selbst.

Are we just counting bracelets to keep it simple?

FT's as a tie-breaker?

Of course if we get a ME final tabler or two between us, could be a long wait to claim bragging rights.

Yeah I guess as event 1 is casino employees we could take entries until the start of day 2.

Just counting bracelets and using FT's in a tie break sounds good to me

Sorry wasn't at my computer at the time to check which one worked but I knew had faced this problem and worked it out with old fashioned trial and error.

iirc

IE is best for cutting and pasting from spreadheets to maintain formatting

Firefox is best for cutting and pasting hand histories

Chrome is best for deleting tables/spreadsheets

I see Jason Mercier is chip leader HU in the $10k HORSE and favourite for another bracelet!

I think he also made another FT and has other cashes. Must be in with a major shout for POY even this early?
