This week's Super Roller is CANCELLED

edited July 2016 in Poker Chat

Morning all.

The Super Roller will NOT RUN this coming Sunday, 10th July, as it clashes with the Euro 16 Final.

It will resume, as normal, on Sunday 17th July.

It is likely that, instead, & this week only, there will be a £110, 15,000 starting chip MTT with an identical structure to the Super Roller on Saturday 9th July.

Does this mean there is a £110bh as part of Summer Series and a £110 comp with 15k starting stacks?

There will be just one £110 MTT this weekend and that is a Bounty Hunter on Saturday (Summer Series 6). Tikay has gotten a bit carried away with saying 15,000 chips. It will be 5000 chips stack with the same structure as per £110 Bounty hunters used for UKOPS.

There will be a few MTT reductions this Sunday evening as you would expect with no £12k Super Roller.

If the roller's scrapped completely, what event will constitute as the 'main' event if we were to go for the final table jackpot? Would it be the £33 bounty hunter which runs that day?

As usual the 8pm tourney will be the main and the 8.30pm will be the mini. This applies to all Summer Series nights too.

So is there no main on Sunday and no chance of winning the jackpot?

Yup, apologies for inadvertently misleading folks with that.

    More apologies & confuseaments:

The Super Roller will not resume until after The Summer Series has completed, so it's next renewal is likely to be on Sunday August 14th.

Apart from that, & the other error I made, everything I said was correct. Possibly.

Cancelled until the 14th August? Seems pretty drastic. The Super Roller has still been in demand throughout the euros.. Not even going to give it a try while the promotion runs? Is it even a promotion if it simply replaces your biggest weekly tournament?

It's not drastic at all. There just isn't the demand to run 2 £110 buy in £12-£20k gtd MTTs at the same time. When Pokerstars run their COOP series and have a bigger Sunday Million they don't run the standard Sunday Million at the same time! We didn't want to have our biggest weekly tournament clashing with the Euro final this Sunday which is why it is on Saturday instead.

My bad, I was for some reason under the impression all of the Summer Series events were on Friday's & Saturday's and didn't realise they clashed with the Roller on Sunday's. I'll go be a moron elsewhere now, thanks.

But as you have said this weeks main event, the super roller has been cancelled. So there is no usual 8pm tournament. Does this mean there is no main event on sunday?

There will be a de facto "Main" on Sunday, Groggs, just not a £110 Roller or anything Summer Series related.(Due to the Euro 2016 Final).

Check the lobby later in the week, plenty of time to clarify.

The main on Sunday in replace of the Super Roller will be a £33 Bounty Hunter and the Mini will be an £11 Mini Roller as usual.

Will there be a £33bh at 7.30 and at 8? Or will you make the 7.30 one a £11bh with 5k starting stack with a decent guarantee on it?

The 7.30pm has been cancelled and the 8pm main will be the same structure as seen for the main events on Monday, thursday etc with the same satellite structure.
