    We have 2 more casualties.

Lew11122 ran his JJ into the opponents QQ. That opponent.... TommyD.

Happynige has also bust. Not sure what Nige had but he was knocked out by his opponents Q6. The opponent..... Jason Mercier.

  • edited July 2016
I hope Mr Mercier said thank you.

    Mr Ambo has around 50,000.

He has been card & spot dead since the dinner break, & only played one hand, & that was a bit of a weird one, complicated by an early limper.

Blinds are currently 600-1,200/200, so he has 40 Bigs, which is plenty.

Tough table he has, real tough.

Looks like we have lost another couple. Safron and Ned are the casualties. Not sure what the hands were but they are no longer in their seats.

    AMBO ALERT AMBO ALERT

In the Main, on Ambo's SB, it's raised to 3,600, then flatted, & Neil jams his 38,600.

    Opener folds, peeler calls.

    AMBO = Q-Q, caller = 9-9.

    8-10-K-4-3

    2X UP for THE AMBO

Probably has around 85,000 now, allowing for the opener who folded, the Blinds (800-1,600) & the antes (9 x 200).

He was raising every hand after he sat down. Trying to build his short stack or go home. I saw what felt like only my 2/3rd Ace of the day on the SB with 10 Bigs left. So was happy to see Q6 lol. Not after the board. See why he has 2 braclets already.
    GL to all still running.

    Droplet

Tables are breaking & players being moved with such frequency that it's hard to keep track & see what's what.

    Greggor is deffo MIA

A search party has been sent for Tommy of the D, can't see him anywhere.

Dog Bloke just doubled up to 35,000

The_Fishh is steady on around 36,000

In the Main, Ambo is sitting nice & quietly.

2 tables along from Ambo, Simon Trumper just busted, A-J into A-Q.

Ben Vinson has a mighty stack.

Kev Allen has around 100,000 after being short all day.

I forgot to mention Haysie was still in last time I looked, & going along nicely, if erratically & noisily, like a car backfiring.

TommyDad is out- lost a big flip apparently

How many left in and how long till end of play?

Gl to all those that are still in.

The fellas went to bed as it was 1.30 and they'd been up early. Just off myself. Long old day, struggled on a tough table and decided to play tight and try and just survive. Was down to30k from 70k...got it back to 85k but dribbled a little to end on 68,100 playing 1k/2k. High point was folding AK pre and being shown KK.

you didn't go out on the first hand lol.
Love the piccies as you discover you actually had no idea of what
    these players looked like.

The very best of luck to all still in the running and to Mr Ambo in the main, TID

Apologies for the abrupt departure last night, a bit of a problem arose, & I needed to go back to the room. I tried to access Sky Poker from my room, to finalise the update, but it cannot be accessed from rooms in The Rio for some reason.

We certainly have at least three players from the Droplet who made Day 2......

    RSPCA12 48,500

    The_Fishhh 46,000

    gooner473 100,700

Until Day 1c (today) completes, it's hard to see where we are with regards to prizepool & number of payouts. However, I suspect they are VERY close to the money. (See next post)
  • edited July 2016

It's all a bit confusing, but if I understand the WSOP reports correctly, all remaining players are either in the money OR very close to it.

1A had 754 entries of which 120 remain.

    1B had 2,180 of which 224 remain.

1C has yet to take place - that'll be today.

But with 15% of the field paid, it suggests all survivors must be almost certain to cash.*

    * I think. Probably. T & C's apply. Chips counts can go down as well as up. Smoking is harmful.

I thought they were playing down to about 16% on each day so the bubble would occur when the field all came together for Day 2

Me too, but yesterday's numbers suggest otherwise, don't they? Less than 15% survived, far less.

My view, fwiw, is that when they return for Day 2, they will all be in the money, or almost so.
