I recall some years ago that. on channel 861, you made reference to the fact that I lived in Glossop, a town, as you put it, in the same county as you lived. You went on to make reference that Glossop had a "landmark" chimney and expanded on its history. The factory site had a government contract (very secret apparrently) and produced whatever it produced for a period of about 25 years. It has been closed for abou the last 15 years.This chimney gave off waste of a very unpleasant dust, which often covered the local area and, as you would expect, was not popular with local residents.
Tony, I know you are into things like this and may be disappointed to learn that this "landmark", I mean "eyesore", is currently being dismantled. Don't be too upset.
