Just going to post up one or two old threads in here, every now again, for folks to have a look at if they want.

This is a good one way back in 2009, with Mr Richard Orford in fine form. Probably wouldn't get away with this stuff nowadays though.

When I logged on and saw the thread title I was a litle nervous. 

When I saw you were the latest poster, I thought it was all over. 

It's normally made it's annual re-appearance by now, this is long overdue.

That would almost be worth reviving but for the time it takes to mod pictures now.

A thread from me back in the good old days. I have noticed a couple of the usual forum wind up merchants are posting digs against me and this thread elsewhere, but I will ignore their goading. Just sums up why some posters from the old threads are maybe not posting as much nowadays.

Thanks, glad you like it. Not really a fun thread though, but it did actually win a prize for being in the top 3  in a Forum competition afaicr.

i dont remember tbh, but that was the deepstack phase which i didnt like one little bit so left to try other sites.

he was a funny chap, ive still got the book he sent me after i won all 3 of his stt games he organised. 

he used to get chat banned alot and didnt learn any lessons

Sounds like a lot of the old fun posters are now banned. Would explain why many don't post anymore, because they can't.

nah there not many that got banned, most left for various reasons.

the site has changed quite alot of times, ie deepstack phase, speed phase. 

in the begining the open used to be over by midnight.

traffic is still the same but the play has got sooo much better imo

How could we forget Mick?

He still plays here from, time to time, not regularly but whenever it takes his fancy.

Lived in Crewe or up that way, worked for Network Rail on PW maintenance if I recall correctly.

In real life, he was great company, very civil as a rule, & a fun guy. Perhaps not best suited to Forum posting though.....
