Why would a player search return a "none found" result in the D/L?

A regular player (micros) , who was playing this morning.

 Ive searched for him using find a player in the d/L and no player found, Its spelt correctly  and ive put no spaces in error.

Ive tried other names that return a result, so whats occuring here?

Some players were allowed to be 'hidden' from the search function many years ago. That function is now no longer available.

So they can hide but they cant run.
