i used to wonder whether online poker was somehow against the common player, but have come to the realisation that it isn't.
the fact is that the standard of player is pretty damn awful at best, which should give us all hope. but sadly you normally find you have at least one less than clueless player on each table who will call when most wouldnt and often beat your pocket pair or AK.
i myself find this frustrating as you see some crazy calls hitting their 'one outers' to beat you.
i had an instance on sunday where i was on the button with pocket aces, i raised, the BB re-raised - so i called the flop. i ended up with trip aces, opponent checked - i bet big, they then raised me, which i then automatically went all in which was he called and i then eliminated him.
opponent had nothing, no straight draw, no flush draw, no pair - go figure!
the odds say that you will enjoy and succeed playing against this type of player - which is true obviously. the 1 problem i have with online poker is that the sites are flooded with these players - so unfortunately you cannot avoid them unless you are lucky enough to be on a table of regulars.
i have started making notes to identify who i think these types of players are to pre-warn myself as i come across them at the tables and take them down when possible.
In Response to Rigged site : i dont think the site is disgusting. i used to wonder whether online poker was somehow against the common player, but have come to the realisation that it isn't. the fact is that the standard of player is pretty damn awful at best, which should give us all hope. but sadly you normally find you have at least one less than clueless player on each table who will call when most wouldnt and often beat your pocket pair or AK. i myself find this frustrating as you see some crazy calls hitting their 'one outers' to beat you. i had an instance on sunday where i was on the button with pocket aces, i raised, the BB re-raised - so i called the flop. i ended up with trip aces, opponent checked - i bet big, they then raised me, which i then automatically went all in which was he called and i then eliminated him. opponent had nothing, no straight draw, no flush draw, no pair - go figure! the odds say that you will enjoy and succeed playing against this type of player - which is true obviously. the 1 problem i have with online poker is that the sites are flooded with these players - so unfortunately you cannot avoid them unless you are lucky enough to be on a table of regulars. i have started making notes to identify who i think these types of players are to pre-warn myself as i come across them at the tables and take them down when possible. Agree with most of this post but would you really prefer to be on a table of winning regs than bad losing players?
It is totaly true bad players...no awful players will call or raise on fresh air , and in turn give bad beats , ive had to learn to roll with it and sometimes just laugh at some calls that hit! AND THERE HAVE BEEN PLENTY OF WFT moments !

What made you change your mind? You were certain the site was rigged not that long ago.
You also want to have players on the table who are ''clueless'' and will call when they shouldn't. The more the merrier. You are very correct though, there are some damn awful players on here....
I'm one of those awful players...No, I am (At least I am aware of the fact lol)
Rigged? Mmmm, Well, when I lose I go back and I can see most of the time it was my own play at fault. Yeah, occasionally I get sucked out. It hurts. I want to kill them. But, hey, that's Poker.
You expect some bad beats in poker but on this site it happens far too often to be just unlucky IMO. It seems to me that it is weighted towards multiple players hitting something big quite often on the flop therefore encouraging play to increase the likelihood of players busting out. They dont want tourneys to last too long do they?

Nail on the head. Police have been informed, we'll bust this sham operation before long.

What? The police have been informed that you lost some money gambling?....
There are sham operations out there I am sure but I really don't think Sky is one of them. Starters, you can make profit on this site. Secondly, withdrawals are easy and never a problem in my experience (main thing to flag a dodgy site). Thirdly, Sky is a massive umbrella organisation and I doubt they would risk their reputation on scamming customers when they can get the money safely without lifting a finger and not risking losing their entire business which runs far beyond SkyPoker.
You lot need to chill out. You play more hands, you get more beats. Waaaay more than in a bricks and mortar casino. I have had many beats....and also have had many lucky hands when I beat others.
Bet you don't complain when you go all-in pre-flop with JJ and hit a set against opponent's AA do you?
YOU HAVE TO ASK YOUR SELF WHY THERE ARE SO MANY COMPLAINTS.WHY IS THIS SITE SO SMALL AFTER ALL THESE YEARS..WHY DONT THEY HAVE BIG POKER STARS PROMOTING THIS SITE.. ANSWER JUST WATCH A COUPLE OF THE TABLES AND BE AMAZZZZZZZZZZZZZED AT THE RIVER.. IT WILL MAKE U LAUGH JUST WATCH WHO NEEDS FREE VIEW WHEN U GOT SKY POKER TO MAKE U LAUGH

1. Cheap Chinese import R.N.G.
2. E.U. un-qualified workers maintaining R.N.G.
3. No provision for I win every hand button.
4. Give you £10 then take it back when you play badly.
