As anyone who has wasted time in their life trawling through my diary will realise, I have been studying psychology for a few years. I am bored senseless with this and cannot wait to finish my degree in April but one thing I wouldn't dispute are the benefits of positive psycholgy and having a positive mindset on the tables and in real life.

In that light, and just for a bit of fun, maybe it would be interesting to jot down here something positive that has happened to you on and off the tables in the last week? If nobody wants to share or can be bothered that is fine but it might be interesting to see if taking a few seconds each week to highlight a couple of positives can encourage a bit of positivity and help results on and off the tables.

It can be anything you want...

On the tables: Just the fact I have been enjoying poker! I have played varying amounts of volume over the years and it is easy to slip into grinding and not appreciate the enjoyment of the game when playing a lot. This week however I have really enjoyed my time on the tables.

Off the tables: Fighting through the traffic one day last week for an hour, arriving at uni just in time for a lecture and going to pay the parking meter for the day only to realise I had left my wallet in the house. A complete stranger noticed my predicament and so kindly paid my parking for the entire day! Restored my faith in humanity a bit and put a smile on my face all day that I had met such a kind person!

On the tables at the weekend i won the local Friday night game...this followed the previous weekends APAT 

win of a Las Vegas trip package ,also live at the local, so running good . I am a great beliver in possitive thought ,

 and often recommend the movie " Life is Beautiful " , which is full of its good results.

OFF THE TABLES : Just booked a short trip to Malaga 1st week in May , wifes birthday, hotel by the beach...

poker tournament ( 150 euro ) held in same hotel ...happy days !

 Run good all, think of the card you need...be surprised how oten it comes !

I totally agree with this, positive thinking is a massive help instead of the negative "........any card but his 2-outer......" just remember though, it won't work against me coz of how positive I'm thinking !

I learnt all about the power of positive thinking playing golf........ If you have negative thoughts when you're stood on the tee with a lake on the right, and OOB(Out of Bounds) on the left, your chances of hitting the fairway are very small, whereas if you think positively, blank out all the distractions, and focus on putting your best practice ground swing on the shot, the outcome will be far better....... unless you swing like LyonsBob (hee hee)

I've just started back playing again after a near 3 month break, and only coz SKY gave me some freeby '£2 10th birthday tokens'. I'd also been watching a couple of the P'Stars EPT programmes I had in SKY planner, and that rekindled some enthusiasm too, so I went back to where I started , playing a £2.20 deepy and I've managed to finish 2nd  and 4th in the two I've played so far. It's been good fun with some nice chat and banter too, and it didn't bother me with my exit hand last night as the shorty with AJo when I was called by Q8o and he hit the Queen......obviously I must have been out-positived ! My ROI is pretty good though (:D}

Off the tables..... Its just nice to be on this Earth and able to do what we do...... but that's a whole new topic.

Positive on the tables?  I managed to play. Badly but I managed to play. That is a great positive for me. 

Off the table?  Hopefully will get my results from my MRI scan tomorrow quickly and then find out what I have. Fingers crossed it's not the worst case :-)

Positive on the tables - despite some amazing outdraws I managed to make a nice profit on the week. Met some nice players on the spin up tables too, Spinner Winner ftw.

Positive off the tables - sadly our youngest dog died suddenly a few weeks ago. We have now just rehomed a lovely 3 year old rescue German Shepherd who has fit right in. Gets on well with our older male GSD, (6) cats and  horses and is as laid back as possible, looks like she's a keeper, now to figure out a name for her!

Positive on the tables, played in the biggest tourney of players i've ever played in my life and ran deep. Deeper than I ever thought I would have. Goes to show I can play when I really put my mind to it and not get bored whilst doing it.

On the tables: Although I have been getting a swift kick in the chops from variance and thus started playing rubbish to boot... I feel the corner is turned and there are VLV qualifiers to look forward to!

Off the tables: I would have to go with the return of Mr T. Brilliant to see him back

Thought this was worth a bump seen as there are a few posts talking about negativity etc on the forum.

On the tables: Mayhem freerolls leaderboard going well this week although the leader will be hard to catch with 1 game left.

Away from the tables: Got my exams results back on Friday and the psychology degree is now offficially in the bag.
