Sky Poker forums will be temporarily unavailable from 11pm Wednesday July 25th.
Sky Poker Forums is upgrading its look! Stay tuned for the big reveal!
I was going to have the title as something else but thought I might get in trouble for it so lol :-)
One thing I have noticed a lot of in online Poker is the number of players moaning about sites (not just Sky but pretty much every single site out there - check out the reviews on PokerScout and see what I mean). Seriously, it's like some people like nothing more than to whinge about losing their pennies here and there.
"The site is rigged" "Too many Donks" "The RNG is rubbish" "Too many bad beats" "I lost my chips because I called all-in against a tight regular with nothing more than a trash hand - how did I lose?"
You get the picture right?....
My advice is simple - Don't like a site then quit your whinging and leave it. Don't come back time and time again still moaning when obviously it can't be that bad because you're still here right.
Gee!!!!....What is wrong with people these days?

It is basic human psychology...
Player deposits cash and envisages winning loads of money, when this repeatedly does not happen it causes cognitive dissonance and to 'square that circle' they have to accept one of the following...
(a) They are at fault.
(b) The site is at fault.
Option 'b' is a much easier pill for people to swallow and therefore they subconsciously elect to believe option 'b'.
The players who can swallow the pill that is option 'a' will often critically reflect on their game, maybe learn the game on a deeper level and quite possibly become winning players. Or at the very least better players.
There are whole websites devoted to poker players moaning & groaning about so-called rigged sites. As you note, if we don't like a product, we don't buy it, right? It's really very simple. The truth, of course, is they are bad losers.
Maybe a glance at the World news every morning would give them a little perspective. Refugees fleeing poverty, oppression & wars, trying to give their family a safe roof over their heads & 3 meals a day, & they & their infant children drowning in the Mediterranean Sea when their overladen boat sinks, or suffocating in the back of a lorry parked in a lay-by somewhere in Central Europe.
Closer to home, many of our regular players are unwell, or battling against the odds to overcome physical problems without ever moaning. Do you read the Blog by QUICKFEET? Inspiring.
And then we go on the internet - another luxury many would & do die to have access to - & someone is doing his nut & pointing his fingers in all directions because he or she lost a tenner gambling.
Misplaced sense of entitlement ftw.
Bleurgh.
I still have masses to learn in poker though, and in life for that matter!
markycash - You're welcome bud. Yes, interesting what Poker can teach us about people and life in general too.
Cheers
Greg.
