BRITTAINIA WAIVES THE RULES.

edited March 2017 in Poker Chat
Is it a British thing that we invent obscure betting practices or is it a worldwide affair?
In my local casino, playing cash, that i became a small benefactor of the "Bad Beat Pot".I was on a table that saw a straight flush, beat(runner runner by the way)by a royal flush and everyone was patting the loser on the back. He'd won the suck-out bonus of £16,800.I;d not heard of this before and was chuffed to pick up £350 just because i was sat at the table! Is this a well known thing or was i just in the right place at the right time?Anybody else come across this?

P.s. I should qualify this by saying it could only be won by quads or better being beat and that the pot had swollen over weeks.
