FYI, Chelmsford draw bias conclusions by www.drawbias.com are below: (Summary: No real bias)

"The racing press would have you believe that their is a large bias towards low drawn numbers at Chelmsford City, so much so that their are a large number of wide drawn runners which get mysterious late injuries and are withdrawn! The stats just don't back that up, and over 5,6 and 8f furlongs at Chelmsford City there doesn't appear to be much of a draw bias, which can be explained by the fact that Chelmsford is a wide racecourse with deep bends."

    Hi all. I'm etting to quite like doing these trial runs, so thought we'd have another go.

    Post here any thoughts and selections in the first six races at Chelmsford.

    Here is the "1st pass" spreadsheet. (Shortlisted selections in blue)

    We would have to whittle this down as currently it is 1,944 lines = £972.

    I am tempted to remove the drifting CURLEW RIVER from the 3.10PM.

    Would welcome suggestions of what I could "safely" get rid of in the 2.40, 4.10 and 4.40.

    FYI, the syndicate doesn't have Secret Lightening.
     
    But in reality if you post on the thread, well before the off of the first, we would put it in, unless I had a real strong objection to it, which I don't, as it is a horse that fits in with the over all statistical strategy.

    I omitted it because it was a drifter, but only a slight one, so a marginal decision to exclude it. GL anyhow!

    Yes, there can be a danger of this, although it would still be nice to have input from people that want to. I will make sure, however, that the selections used, DO fit in with the over all strategy.

    Had at least the first 4 home here, maybe more.

    Would be kinda gutting if my actual £36 reduced perm Jackpot only fails because of my late removal of Curlew River. :=(

    4 winners out of 5. With 2nd and 3rd in the leg I missed out on after reluctantly removing winner to reduce perm size.

    Advocates the need for a Syndicate really. :=)

    NO!

    Roy's Legacy wins at 12/1. My last minute omission in LEG3, cost me a return of £5K for my £36.00 stake.

    The Jackpot was part won to just half a UNIT or 50p. Dividend was guaranteed at 10K, I believe.

    As you will see from the opening post, our wider perm would have been successful.

    Gutted!

    But happy with the strategy.
