i posted this on betting chat aswell thoughts please

extremely  pi****d  of  with  sky bet  today.  after backing  a  33/1  winner  e.way,  and  bet was  paid  out  i  look back 30 mins  later  to  see  my  account  now 26 pound less.  as they  then  pay  me out as a 6/1shot. inbetween  this  im  putting  on  more  bets  thinking  i  can afford  it,

also  im  not  in  the  habit  of  backing  5/1  shots e/way  so  i feel i have  lost  again as i  would  have  backed  it  as a single.

live  chat  just  gave the  usual response   traders  gave  the wrong  price  heres the  rules  blah blah  blah. and  it  took  about 25 mins to  get  through tolive chat  aswell  great customer  service.


soi  have told them ok  last  time  i  bet  here withdrawing  my funds.

any 1 had an  issue  like  this  before.  my  1st  experience  of  this  and  more  gutted as  i now  love the  poker  site. and am now making  astance  on  leaving  sky  bet /poker  /casino  for  good.

    I haven't had it happen, but i have seen it afew times over social media of them posting on the wrong odds, letting people back it then reducing the winnings to what it should of been. They won't do anything about it, they don't even have to pay bets out if they don't want its just a gentlemans agreement.

    You sure it wasnt a rule4 reduction? If there are non runners after you place the bet that significantly change the odds of the other horses then they can apply a reduction (its standard across the industry).

    Edit: scratch that, going from 33/1 to 5/1 is ridiculous and never a rule4. The bookie industry is a very dodgy world sadly, any major mistake they can put down as a palpable error and just change it after the event. They should be forced to honour it imo when its their error and you may have only been happy to take the bet at that price but they arent.

    It was not a Rule 4, it was a palpable error. It was a 6/1 shot that was wrongly priced at 33/1. No bookmaker would do any different in this spot.

    I would respectfully ask the OP not to start any further threads on the matter please. You have already posted this thread in Betting Chat, too, so it can be debated there.

    If you have an issue with Sky Bet please take it up with them, thank you.
