    I just couldnt fold and hang on. Needed 10000 chips to be safe.

    sometimes in this sick sick game called poker you run into the top of your opponents range.

    If he is going to make the same move with this set of hands: AQs/AK/QQ/KK/AA


    Then sometimes he will have AA and most of the time he wont; it happens. There isn't a need for a thread for it everytime and there isn't a need to question your decision to go with the second best possible hand preflop.

    In that situation though a case can be made for folding to the PF raise and just hanging on to qualify. Thats why I posted it. Some people may fold.

    If the situation is a satellite bubble then yes when very deep stacked there are times you dont play at all regardless of hand. For that to be the case though we'd need to know all the other stack sizes of the other players in the field, unless there is a huge disparity between stacks where there are a few very very short ones then you are going to have to keep playing to make yourself comfortable enough to wait it out. So what im saying is more info would be required for anyone to even consider telling you to fold the 2nd nuts pre.
