I will explain how the PLACEPOT STRATEGY differs from the JACKPOT strategy in subsequent posts on this thread.
Misty was quite right when he said big perms covering all the favourites rarely provide value, so we are looking outside of the front few in the market ideally (in the more open races)
For example lets say it's 6/1 the field, the first few favourites are often over subscribed and the value is in the 4th, 5th, 6th favourites etc.
Quite often the 6/1 favourite is covered by 25% of the field as if it was a 3/1 shot and the 10/1 5th favourite conversely is only covered by 5% of the field, so if we can get these favourites beat (and ours in the frame) we can pick up a +ev situation.
So in each of the following races, I would like people to try and remove at least one of the "fancied runners" (Say at least one of the top 3 in the betting)

Of course if we can get an odds-on shot out the frame in one of the other legs, and still be in, that can make a big difference too, although sometimes we still have to have them as semi-bankers as we lose too much on the field if they are placed and we've over-permed the leg.

I added the TOP one as it represented the latest info, just before the off, but I didn't want to remove the more full 2nd one, so the prices to go by are those on the top spreadsheet, and this will be the case for the rest of Ascot.
So NOOTKA SOUND is 11/2
If you look at the column titles the top won has "LAT" = LATEST and the other one has RP, PM, AM which are all prior to the "LAT" one, so only go by the "LAT" (Latest) odds.
