Thank you Sky for your promotions.

 I just want to take the time to appreciate the work that goes on behind the scenes on the site.

I was lucky enough to come second in the Silver Freeroll on Sunday to win a seat to the SPT. Not only that but £320 as well. Not bad for FREE. The only qualification criteria being I had to play games I enjoy. Today I got an extra bonus when the email arrived confirming my SPT place and letting me know the £180 for expenses had been paid into my account. I thought the additional prize money I won was to cover the expenses not £180 on top.

I’m certainly not a high volume player so if I can qualify and win one of these anyone can.

Then there is the Monday DTD. Three deep stack tournaments for £5.00 in total. No registration fees and loads of added prizes on top. Not only great poker but great banter at the tables. Capped off this month with the additional prize of a SPT seat for the winner!

The Sky tem put a lot of effort into the site to give us the best possible value and playing experience. I’m really looking forward to meeting the Sky Team and other players at the SPT.

Thanks again Sky team for a great poker experience.

    Totally agree with everything written above, and the reason I've never even looked at playing elsewhere. I just wish we hadn't our friends coming to visit that weekend.... the only downside to living next to a fantastic beach in Cornwall...... hopefully there will be another SPT soon ..... PLEASE.

    I need to get my finger out and get a seat to join you guys.

    So many cracking lads that I know have already won seats, so hopefully it will be a blast.

    This has probably already been asked, but where is best to stay? (as close as possible to the casino)

    I usually go budget, something like a Travelodge would be ideal.

    I know I can look online, but just wondered if any locals had any suggestions.

    I found something last year for £39 a night in Rusholme , with breakfast ( omlette with red chillies)

    Booking.com found it for me.

    I myself had started to divert away from sky poker when they stopped the sky poker TV but now it's become my no1 site again thanks to the reintroduction of SPTs.

    looking forward to the SPT my hotel and train ticket is booked already

    The nl10 were more active during day time today. tell the weather man to make my weather match the rest of the UK. I would have expected less activity today, I was able to go out in a T shirt
