Sky Poker Forums is upgrading its look! Stay tuned for the big reveal!
The SPT has returned and I'm now all set and ready for it
The return of SPTs brought me more happiness than getting 2nd place in the high roller. Since the story broke out I've dedicated my poker time on sky, my ambition to gain entry into the SPT but I didn't plan to gain entry into it via the sats, "although I did try", My route into the SPT was from cash game poker with an aim to make the cash needed for entry into the SPT through a direct buy.
Things didn't get off to the best of starts I felt like walking away from sky cash at one point, I switched from normal cash onto spin up cash where I expected lots of luck. It didn't take long for me to return to normal cash only this time I read through some of the key notes I've made from reading the mental poker book. My cash was at a profit of £130 at one point when I made a sudden U turn creating a loss of £100 at first I thought it was purely bad luck but from reading about the process model I made a good evaluation of my HH and saw for myself that alot of it was actually through bad play by myself. By putting some thought into my game that bad run I had one week end was quikly recovered and by mid july my I was close toward the target. The last week I had a few points where I could have ruined my target but all it took was a warm relaxing bath before returning to the cash tables and getting myself back on track.
My BR is now more that £200 above what is was since returning so I've withdrew that £220 needed for a seat into the SPT, My hotel and train ticket have now been booked as well and last week I went out to get some new cloths for the SPT all that's left to do now is buy in at the casino on the day.
I've always liked the sky community and can't wait to meet people face to face and including that ancient one who plays a poker game of the future.
