ALL star premiership 11?

edited February 2010 in The Shed

Being 23, I dont know too much about players such as Maradonna, Pele, Beckenbauer, Best etc, although I have seen footage, I didnt get the chance to watch them week in week out. :(

Ive been watching football every week since I was 5, and propose the following 11 as the ultimate premiership dream team. Leave your thoughts and your team....

Schemicheal - If anyone disagrees with this I'll be amazed, I gess ultra biased Goooners may say Seaman, lol.

Winterburn - Part of the brilliant Arsenal back line of the 90's
Tony Adams (c) - Another automatic pick
Steve Bruce - Another proper defender, very close call between him and John Terry.
Lee Dixon - Again, 1-0 to the Arsenal

Ryan Giggs - I guess hes gonna be the first name on everyones list.
Patrick Viera - Straight choice between Viera and Keane here, very similar, but admire Vieira's energy and drive,      and attacking threat.
Cesc Fabregas - Gona be very controversial, but I think this guy is an absolute genius! (vul stevie G)
Christiano Ronaldo - Kills me to say it as I hate the guy but hes flippin good

Thierry Henry - Had a spell at Arsenal when he was unplayable. Destroyed defenders.
Alan Shearer - The man is an absolute legend, scored every single type of goal possible, big goals too.

Subs!

David Seaman
John Terry
Steven Gerrard
Roy Keane
Wayne Rooney
Matt Le Tissier
and just coz I love him and no1 else has anything else like him....RORY DELAP!

Manager - Sir Alex, goes without saying

LOL at Delap making the subs bench!...

..Other than that, your team is pretty mint! (maybe because the amount of arsenal in there :D lol)

My brains gone a bit dead at the mo, so once it wakes up i'll do a team..

It may be better to do an all star 11 - excluding players who played for the big 4, then maybe the teams will be alot different and more varied names will come up, Il'l try that one later after a few replies.

Schmeichel - As you said, its hard to disagree!
G.Neville - Solid without ever being spectacular. You always knew you'd get 100% from him and lets be honest, how many decent right backs have their been over the years?
A.Cole - Toss up between him and Evra as they are both genuinely world class full backs and you can't say that about many these days.
Tony Adams - To go unbeaten in a season is unheard of these days and this man was at the centre of it.
Steve Bruce - Hate him with a passion, but he's up there with the best

    Ronaldo - Incredible talent
Makelele - Any man who has a position named after him deserves to be in the team.
Vieria - Got to have a bit of balance in the team - Not a bad player either
Zola - The little magician, oozed class when he came to Chelsea

Cantona - Like Zola the guy just oozes talent!
Henry - Like Dohh says - Was virtually unplayable at times

Very biased towards Chelsea, Man U and Arsenal but these guys arn't the best team in the country for nothing.

    Honourable mentions to:

Seaman, Evra, Terry, Gerrard, Ginola, Lampard, Keane , Le Tissier, Shearer and Van Nistelrooy

    Manager

Mourinho - If I were gay he'd be my special one!

You must just like D**ks too much.

How are people missing McGrath? The guy was a legend. Obviously he played for Man Utd but that was prior to the Premiership being formed. Does that count?
