2 3/50 3/49
3 2/48 2/47
4 1/46 1/45
SO the odds are 4X4X3X3X2X2X1X1 DIVIDED BY
52X 51X50X49X48X47X46X45= 576/YOU WORK IT OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...LOL
think im right anyhoooos!!!!
AQ is the same hand as QA so the odds are significantly lower than this ... but still very high! :-)
For this (i.e. 4 players of 6 seated to have the same hand pre-flop) to happen with AQ specifically, I'd say that the odds are:
8/52 * 4/51 * 6/50 * 3/49 * 4/48 * 2/47 * 2/46 * 1/45 * 360
This is about 9 million to 1.
(As always, I'm happy to be corrected).
Wow, thank you mere. MrWh1te was the player after the hand asking what the odds where, hopefully he will see this thread. Thank you again for taking the time to work this out
Wow, that IS a rare one!
I saw a weird one at DTD the other week.
TWO players got it all-in, both had A-Q.
The Flop came K-J-T, so both of them flopped the nuts.
The Turn was an A, the River was a Q, so the Board ran out A-K-Q-J-T - so both players were, in effect, playing the Board.
Oops. Well spotted. I should have looked at the Hand History more closely rather than following on from the initial response.
OK, the odds of 3 people having AQ are:
8/52 * 4/51 * 6/50 * 3/49 * 4/48 * 2/47 * 120
This is about 26,507 to 1.
