What to do?

This isnt a bad beat or suck out story. I am simply asking for opinions on what the best play is.
£200 deepstack last night. 44 runners, 3 1/4 hours in, 9 players left with 5 to cash. I'm lying 3rd. The chip leader has about 35000 chips and the shortstack has about 10,000. I picked up these hands consecutively.

What is your stack size to start the hand mate?

What is your oppos? How often does he raise?

22: with 20 bets is a fold or go all in, i'd rather fold with this hand as we fare so poorly against even badly constructed calling ranges.

Snap call the 88 unless the person is very tight.

    RH column is stack sizes.

Thanks guys. I folded both but I felt the 88 was a bad fold. I called later on with AQ against AK and went out before the cash, feeling I missed out with the 88.

I get confused as to whether it is stack size after putting in the raise or whatever.

Yeah, it is after the raise to be accurate but probably doesnt make much diff in this case.

    1. instasnapfold...... yr effectively callin off yr tournament with maximum a coinflip..... and very often with just 2 outs.

    2. Not clear cut... again, yr nearly in he same situation as the 22 hand as not very often oppo shows up with 22-77
Probably make a crying call 60% but it would depend on currenbt table dynamics and whether i wanted to ake on a race (hopefully)  I can probs fold 40%
