Hello
If you are caught with multiple accounts what happens?
A comment on one of the s lag each other off threads pricked my curiosity.
Cheers.

I know the accounts you refer to and i don't know if they are 1 and the same person although i know a lot of people suspected they were / are. As one of the accounts at least is still active then i take it no wrong doing was ever proved and therefore no case to answer to
Multi-accounts when intended to deceive are wrong, enabling one's partner to also participate in Sky poker is, as far as I know, both legal and above board.
* just edited as for some reason i put your name in block capitals which looked really confrontational lol
In seriousness, i am not too sure of the effect of multi accounting. Say i have two, accounts, which just I play, why is that soo bad? I think it becomes wrong when other people play on accounts to mix it up as that gives unfair advantage. Or when people use accounts on the same table. The classic example of this i guess was ZeeJustin, who was playing two accounts in the same tournament; being the uber good player he is, he ended up on the same table with himself - very lol! Needless to say he lost all the money in his account at the time, close to 100k i believe!
Multi accounting does have a definite advantage in that you can probably attract more players to play you by having diiferent names. The advantage is for multi accounts sitting waiting for fish and this gives them a higher chance of getting action. Further many pros use it, so that others dont get too familiar with their game (not sure this affects the fish too much).
If sky were to turn around to the top players and say would u like another account, then it would give them a great advantage as it gives them more action. However, if bad players were to have multi accounts i wouldnt say it would bother me at all. It just means they can deposit more than the limit on one account in any given day and donate.
Its a very interesting subject!! look forward to your views!!

COuld be unfair on fish, cause they think i am actually bad and follow me up stakes, and then whammo, its a different person........
A friend of mine has 2 accounts on stars, he's not above average as a player but he enjoys the game.
1 is in his name and 1 is in his girlfriends name.
The reason for this is simple - He plays tournament poker only and will just deposit enough to play the tournaments he wants to play at any 1 specific time, as he is salaried and his girlfriend is paid weekly there are times when he wants to play but can only deposit from his girlfriends account and not from his own card. As sites don't let you register cards that are not in your name to your account (a good thing by the way lol) then he just set his GF up with an account in order to play during periods of only having money available from that account
Is this wrong???? by the letter of the rules i suppose it is but he is not gaining unfair advantage, he just wants to play and doesn't want to have to transfer money between banks to deposit. i'm with Sparce, multi accounting and collusion are 2 different things and will often be a judgment call as to what is going on
Did they ban or suspend whilst enquiries were made. Suspecting is one thing, proving is another.
(Is it you that is reading Law at Uni?).
''Well, there was I digging this hole, hole in the ground.......so big and sort of round it was.....................''
