    hey dude,

usually they are single table sng's at £10 or £20, they are a good laff and run as soon as enough people are knocked out.

I suppose there will be some cash action aswell.

You MUST be a Member to gain admittance to Luton-G, & to be able to play.

    You can either.....

    1) Register Online. google "g-Casino Luton", & on the Home Page, use the "Click Here to Register" link.

    2) Register on the day, at Reception. It takes 2 or 3 minutes, & they will take your photograph, ask you to fill in a form, & you MUST HAVE some photo ID, Driving Licence or Passport ideally.

Please be aware that Luton-G are very inflexible as to "dress-code". You will NOT be admitted if you arrive wearing trainers, sports apparel, hoodies, fashionably ripped jeans, etc.

The more that come along, the better - it will be a great day, even if you do not have an SPT Main Event seat, & there will not only be fun SNG's & suchlike, but G-Luton run some affordable Tourneys on a Saturday, one in the afternoon, & one in the evening.

Lisa-Marie & Trevor Harris wil be present throughout.

I will have to depart Luton mid-afternoon to go to the Studio & do the Total Player Show, but when I return at about Midnight.....

    1) I will be wearing Orford's famous blue jumper/tent/marquee.

    2) Orford will be with me, he will be wearing THE Burgundy Jacket.

Players are encouraged to enthusiastically congratulate him on his splendid dress-sense.

Tried registering a couple of times now but just won't let me - maybe the connection from Wales to England is bad dunno lol!!

Looking forward to it all now, not just the main event on saturday but also friday night and the side games whn im out of the main event - hopefully I won't be out on first hand which has happened 3 times recently lol!!

Is it a good idea friday night for sky players playing the £75 freezeout to wear a daffodil or something so I can recognise who you all are lol!!

You are most welcome Mr MadMax.

I expect most of it has been covered on the various Sky Poker Tour threads, but I leave that to SPT-Rich, as I don't really have time to peruse that Board much.

The SPT Board is HERE, & there's all sorts of useful stuff on it, feel free to interact there, too.

    Hi Dylan,

I can't comment on the G-Website issues, but it does not surprise me, to be honest.

Friday night? Do come & say "Hi" please, & it should be a fun evening. There will be oodles of Sky Poker players there, & maybe we can have a little private Last-Longer or somesuch. I don't plan to stay too late on Friday, as I have a very full day ahead on Saturday, so I'll be playing the £75 Tourney "fast" - I expect to play at LEAST one hand in the first three Levels.

Do you mean the Friday, or the Saturday?

On Friday the Tourney starts at 8.30pm, though knowing Luton-G, it will not start on time. In fact, I'd bet on it.

On Saturday, if you are not playing the SPT Event, there will be three G-Tourneys, as well as the Sky Poker SNG's & Fun SNG's.

    The G-Events on Saturday are.....

      £40 Midstack NLH Freezeout8,000pt3.30pm

    £30 NLH - 1 Rebuy & 1 Add - On for £10 each
    3,000pt8.00pm
    £20 No limit Hold'em Turbo2,000pt11.00pm

It just depends when the Presenters bust out. If Lisa finds A-J early, assume it'll be then....

SNH? Sorry, it was a Typo, I've amended it now, I meant to put "SNG".

Before every SPT Event therer are 2 or 3 "MasterClasses" for players who have never played Live poker before, & they are usually dealt by the Presenters - Trevor Harris & Lisa-Marie in this case, me if time permits, or one of the experienced regulars. They take place at about 12.30pm/1pm ish. It's just to explain in a practical way how Live Poker differs from Internet Poker, as to procedures & etiquette, how to announce Raises properly, acting in turn (VERY important), never - NEVER EVER - touching the chips in the Pot (that's the Dealers job), etc.

The filming? Yes, speak to 'Ling. But it's no big deal, the "filming", it takes a few minutes, & can be done pretty much any tiime during the Saturday.

Come see me on Saturday, & I'll put you right. Be good to actually meet you too, especially as I was accused last week of "favouring you", lol. Guys like Ben, Dan, James, Wayne, Naomi etc, who are good friends of mine, are experienced at Live Poker, too, & I know they will be pleased to help you adjust to Live poker.

Yea I'm so nervous about the whole thing - First time at a casino - first time playing a proper live tourny - first time I'll have met anyone from sky poker - and then theres the dreaded filming - which is probably the thing Im least nervous about actually - all the other things made worse/harder by what happened over the weekend.

Hopefully get the camera rolling well before 2pm - so I can focus on trying to win a few pots in the tourny!

Thanx for ya help - I will be at one of those beginner sessions, wouldnt like to make a mistake at the tables and upset sum1!
