Wow What a day!!

CONGRATULATIONS to Ross, Penguin7 and all who cashed at SPT Luton.. Including an extremely noteworthy performance from our very own Mr Trevor Harris and a HUGE hug for the magnificent Dollie (My seat neighbour for the tournie) who hit a horrific Bubble. I just might love him more than I love Tikay. ;)

I would like to personally extend a MAHOOSIVE thank you to everyone to turned up and everyone I had the chance to play or speak with for making it a truly enjoyable and memorable experience.

A new blog in the making!!

It was a long 17hour day and I can quite honestly say I have never enjoyed myself more in a live tourney.

GOOD WORK PEOPLE!!

Another shining affirmation of what a warm, friendly and generous spirited community we have here at Sky Poker.

    It really was a good weekend. Both Amarie and I enjoyed it thoroughly. I even enjoyed you taking all my chips in the sit & Go Lisa. Well Done Penguin 7. He was on my table earlier. A gentleman!!!

    Really enjoyed myself after I'd had a beer to calm myself after my exit hand from the main event.
    The S'n'gs were a fun way to spend the evening(winning two helps) and the 7 2 rule really spices things up.
    I'm gonna try to qualify for another, maybe Glasgow but Swansea is a definte.
    Met some great people but a big shout out to notmyweek,Machka, diggerman and diddlydoo who all manned
    up and had a drink in the hotel bar after the casino one had shut. Not so pleased with the bunch of light in their
    loafers welshmen(lead by dylan12) who went to bed instead of sampling the ale on offer.
     Looking forward to the next one and meeting some more of the people behind the names.

    I am offended lol!!
    It was 4.30am and havin final tabled the night before and not finished until 5.30am I think I fully deserved my beauty sleep :) Will make up for it during the Swansea leg though - that is if you will be able to handle it m8 ;) lol

    Lisa, that is a great post, you have said it all (and thank you for your kind words). 
    It was lovely to meet with you and sitting next to you for so much of the day was a great pleasure.  You were absolutley charming.   And I tell you what, if I was 30 years (or so!!) younger nobody else would have a chance (lol). 
    You could have also gone a lot further in the tournie had you got any value out of the pocket Aces you had on THREE occassions (you got next to nothing each time).

    Really good day/night/weekend.
    Great to see old faces, familiar faces and new faces.

    So much action going on, don't think I spoke to Lisa once - sorry, but I was running hot on the other high-stakes Indian Poker table.
    Everyone at that table was an absolute gem, especially Sparce who kept the energy levels high with his side-bet action. (Though not sure Tikay was too pleased)

    Best quote of the weekend has to be from around midnight on the Friday night, during the £75 2nd break.
    Mickjenn appears clutching a Smirnoff Ice in each hand

    SkyRegular (maybe Dantb) "Are you out of it Mick?"
    MickJenn *looks at one bottle, then the other, pauses to think* "Yeah..."
    SkyRegular *pauses* "The tournament...?"
    Mick *longer pause* "Oh... Yeah..."

    Not sure the player name but one of the players told me this. 

    He was sat next to Johnny Nelson at the start of the main event. 

    After 30 minutes he asks Johnny, "So did you ever hold any titles?". 

    Johnny glares at the player, "I was World Champion for 7 years... Unbeaten." 

    The player didn't say much after that.

    Hey all.

    Just echoing everyone else's comments.  I had a real fun table and it was a great laugh.  Going to try and qualify for more that are further away for me so I have an excuse to make a weekend out of it.

    The things I learnt at Luton were:

    I want a pipe like Dollie's
    Sky Poker Players are on the whole a thousand times more pleasant than most other poker players
    Never wear a baggy pink suit.

    It was so good to finally meet and talk to Tikay, Lisa and so many of the people I've conversed with on line.
    Huge thanks to MAXALLY and NESS who quite literally made my weekend!!! I love you both to bits and can't wait to meet up with you again! Also, Phil12uk and his lovely wife, DJblacke04 (Toby, you're a legend), Dylan12 .........good grief, there's so many I could go on for ages...but I won't! Just to say to everybody I met, Cheers, i    t was absolutely tremendous and I thoroughly enjoyed myself! ;)

    One other thing, If i happen to qualify for Nottingham, please don't put myself and Lisa-Marie on the same table as i have feeling Miss Long is still highly narked off with losing TKOII and that she wants a measure of payback on someone preferably Team Tiaky's No 1 Traitor lol!!!

    Seriously it would be good to finally meet you at last and i promise i don't bite, ill stick to the "contract written in blood" that i have to be nice to you forever and i won't mention anything about you losing TKOII in spectacular fashion (Unless you bust me out that is lol!)

    Had a blast at Luton and the 4th place for £1350 certainly helped!

    The sngs (before and after) were great fun and played in great spirits with great people.  My wife, Jodey, also LOVED the day.  So much so, that she now wants money in her Sky poker account so she can try and qualify for the Swansea event. I think she saw just what a great bunch of people there are on Sky poker and she liked what she saw! And if u ever thought I was a luckbox..........u shoulda seen how she ran in most of the sngs ;)
