Hey all thought I'd start a list of Pros and Cons of online poker

Eg

Pros

**Can log in from the comfort of your home

**can play for really cheap blinds eg 4pence so affordable for everyone

Cons

**Card dealercan be very dodgy

**If you get a killer ahdn and lose internet connection at thaat very momen whooopss

Pros of real life poker

**Good dealer and setup usually and table banter and vibe

**decent dealing

cons

**buy ins are usually high

**rake is usually high

    Pro's of online poker

    I can play when i like (and i don't even have to put pants on)

    Con's of online poker

    I'm not very good at it

    Pro's of live poker

    Much more social event with banter and high jinks

    Cons of live poker

    I'm not very good at it

    (oh and i have to walk past those other games without removing my wallet, a difficult task lol)

    Best pro of online is that if I win a big pot,  I show m y middle finger to the oppo right up to the screen while screaming who`s the effin daddy. 

    I would never do that live obv.

    Very very easy to tilt online and lose alot very quickly. Whole bankroll in 30 minutes sometimes. :(

    Wouldnt know the benefits of playing live - but id imagine not having to get up and go to the fridge for a beer - u have someone to fetch it for u instead

    Pro's of online poker

    i don't have to leave the house..   (and I do wear pants, lol)

    when i make a stupid allin bluff and get called no one can see my blushes

    Con's of online poker

    it can be fast anfd furious

    Pro's of live poker

    Slower pace and the personal  touch.

    Cons of live poker

    hiding my feelings is hard

    you have to get up and go to the toilet though... dont have to do that when you are sitting on the loo playing online lol.

    Cant think of benifts online just now but ..

    This is a true  one....   Live about  10 years  ago I was well  chipped  up in a tourney, I'm in the BB everyone  passed to,   a very  nice  lady  sat  to  my right  in the SB   ...
    She moves  her short stack  All-In !!! 

    I look at the stack  then look around  to  her, she smiles  then  moved  her left hand onto  the inside of my  right  thigh and  said,
    "Don't be silly now, you don't want  to call this bet .. DO YOU ?

    I looked at the dealer  and said,
    " You'd  better  put the timer  on me, this could be a big  decision!!"   :))

    I eventually  passed ...   big sigh !!

    Getting dressed and going some where is such effort. I'd rather lose money in the comfort of my own home !!
