Can anyone advise me on where i went wrong here. For 8 6 to call pre flop was my bet too small?

No. In fact I may have even made it 4x. Not sure why you shoved over his raise though? He could easily have K9/K10/KJ.

Nout wrong with your raise size, but once your flop bet gets resistance when there is an overcard im letting go. You have 1100 left still so thats still 22 blinds, thats enough to wait for a good spot to double back up. With a 4.5x raise pre and 2 callers, they are odds on for 1 of them to have a King. With the fush draw as well I would be waiting for a better spot to get my chips in

get your money in bad... this sort of thing will never happen again! If you get your money in bad then you wll never be disappointed because you can expect to lose... when you do manage to suck out you will be really happy because you will have exceeded your own expectations!
